We absolutely love Creative Rebel Studio! It is well worth the drive to Montague if you aren’t local. Patrick has created a comfortable, welcoming space which my children (and my husband and I) feel completely at home in. We also love the shop - it’s such a unique selection of art supplies, materials for creativity, and Patrick’s incredible paintings. I can’t think of another place quite like it in PEI.

Creative Rebel process art studio is the sanctuary and safe place that you never thought you and your kids needed. It is a place where children of all ages are allowed and encouraged to be creative, try new things and express themselves through artistic creativity. We travel from Charlottetown with our two kids (6 and 9) just to spend time creating and playing at “the art place” (as my kids call it) - and it is totally worth the drive! Parents can join in and create or relax with a coffee/tea and watch their kids enjoy the process of building, creating, and testing things out. Process art is so important for child development, and it is often overlooked in school settings and at home. We need to make time for these types of experiences so that our children have opportunities to build executive functioning skills such as inhibition, cognitive flexibility, problem solving, planning and organizing. Experiencing process art also supports self-confidence, mood regulation and relaxation (releasing serotonin, endorphins and dopamine hormones). The studio is comfortable, cheerful and full of supplies. Patrick is easy to talk with if you have questions about what to do or how to get started if this is new to you!

My wife and I did a super fun paint class with Patrick at Upstreet Brewery. We are not normally very artistic but we had so much fun 😊 Patrick was super inspirational and friendly and we hope to join one of his classes again in the future!

We had Creative Rebel Studio lead a children’s painting workshop at our staff retreat, and it was absolutely phenomenal! From start to finish, the workshop was relaxed, engaging, and hands-on, making it a perfect environment for the kids to explore their creativity.

Patrick at Creative Rebel Studio is incredibly skilled and experienced in working with children. He created a space where the kids felt free to express themselves artistically without any fear of making mistakes. It was amazing to see the kids so fully immersed in their art.

This shop, gallery and art studio are an absolute must visit when on PEI. Highly recommend anyone pop in for a class or drop in art to meet the delightful owner. I’m not an artist (yet) but I absolutely love being in this creative space and exploring the process of art. My kids gave art camp a 10/10 review!

Patrick's classes are the ultimate creative experience you can give your kids. He teaches them to see the possibilities in each activity they do, not just what the endpoint should be. My kids always came home so happy and excited to tell us what they learned. They are always asking when they can go back. Highly recommend!!!
