DISCLAIMER: David's Bridal has BEAUTIFUL dresses, and I highly recommend purchasing your dress from here, but DO NOT have your alterations done here. Take your dress and LEAVE!!!!!!!!!

I got married in Sept of 2024, and I purchased my dress in October 2023. I took my dress back in June 2024 to start my alterations. I was adding fall off the shoulder sleeves and needed to have the dress fitted to me. I was told it would take 2-3 alterations to make that happen and I would have the dress ready well before my wedding. Well, that was NOT THE CASE.

Vienna was my seamstress, and from the beginning it was an absolute nightmare. It took 8 appointments to get my dress where it needed to be, and there were still so many problems. My dress was ready the WEEK OF MY WEDDING. I would show up to an appointment with NOTHING done since the last time I was there weeks prior. Vienna made my dress WAY TOO TIGHT for my body, and told me if I lost weight I would fit into it better. I told her at one point, I couldn't breathe in my dress and she said, and I quote "Brides don't need to breathe on their wedding day". She was extremely rude when I would bring up an issue I had with the dress and did not listen to any of my concerns. So many threads would be sticking up all over the dress, HOLES in the fabric, breast cups were barely sewn in and falling apart, and dozens of missing beads. It wasn't until I pointed all of this out, that things SOME things were fixed.

Vienna also made EXTREMELY inappropriate comments to me after finding out I was marrying a Nigerian man. She asked me "are you sure you want to do that", and accused me of having a "green card marriage". I left in tears multiple times, to the point my husband was going to go inside and speak to her directly because he was so upset this was happening. It was one of the worst experiences I've ever had to deal with, and on top of an already stressful process of planning a wedding.

To add- on the morning of my wedding, after having my dress on for 30 minutes, the hook that attaches to a piece of fabric on top of the zipper to close the dress, RIPPED OPEN when I took a deep breath, and my bridesmaids had to safety pin my dress together, 20 minutes before I walked down the isle.

I went back and forth about writing this review for a long time, but after taking months to think about it, I decided my story had to be told, in hopes other brides would not have to go through what I went through.

We went to David’s Bridal to look for a Grade 8 grad dress for my daughter at the Woodbridge location. There were so many dresses in different styles and colours to try on! A lovely sales associate names Bella noticed that we were on our own and took it upon herself ti come over to help us. She brought some amazing dress choices and shoes to try on with the dresses. We couldn’t have picked out such a great dress without her! We will definitely be back when it’s time for Prom.

I didn’t make an appointment, and all of the ladies were incredibly accommodating! I showed them a few pictures of things I had seen and liked. They showed me what was bailable on such short notice, and were able to get started on a few alterations right away to make sure my dress would be ready on time. The alterations were a little more expensive than I had anticipated, but the whole experience was worth it.

Going to Davids Bridal was my second bridal shop stop. After a rough first experience I was nervous and honestly dreading the appointment. From the moment I walked in the door I knew my experience was going to be better. It was clean, i was greeted right away and introduced to my consultant. Alissa M was absolutely AMAZING. She listened to my concerns about my body shape, my likes and dislikes. She had a great personality and made me feel comfortable. She also pushed me to try different styles and I'm so glad she did….i found the perfect dress and knew it when my myself, mom and sisters all teared up. Thank you Alissa and Davids Bridal for the perfect experience!!!

Terrible shopping experience!

I spent months browsing David’s Bridal’s website until I found my perfect dress. When I saw the "Buy One, Get One" promotion, I decided to visit the store to make my purchase. I picked my favorite dress along with the second dress I was entitled to under the promotion.

At checkout, I was shocked to see that the price was over $300 higher than the online price. I showed the correct price on my phone, and while the manager agreed to match the online price, she made me return the second dress—the one I was supposed to get as part of the promotion.

I emailed customer service with photos of my receipts, but I never received a response regarding the second dress I rightfully deserved. Terrible customer service and dishonest practices! Very frustrating and disappointing. I do not recommend shopping here!

I’m apart of a bridal party of 6 and we all got our bridesmaids dress from David’s bridal. they have such a big and beautiful selection! They do alterations in house, that being said you would think it’s at a reasonable price. I booked an appointment to try on my dress and do alterations and after the fitting before I leave, they present me with a bill over $300! A cost more than the dress itself. I was so caught off guard.

I went to go try on/pick up my dress last week and THE DRESS WOULD NOT ZIP UP!!! It was way too tight. Not to mention, the bra cups were barely sewn on. We told them this isn’t acceptable, they took way too much in and they alterations lady said she would fix it then and there. After waiting a half an hour she brings back the dress saying they released an inch on each side, and since it is a satin dress you could see the stress on the dress. It was so disappointing and frustrating!!! They charged me so much for take ins that I didn’t even need! Alternations managers were not considering giving any refund at all for this and this experience. Thankfully the store manager stepped in and assisted us.

I will never recommend this store to anyone, other than to just purchase your dress and that’s it!

Upon arrival at my 1st visit (drop in), Bella and Libby worked with me to figure out what I wanted in a dress. With limited ideas on my part, they pulled a number of beautiful gowns for me to try. The very first dress they pulled for me was beautiful, but being an older bride, I wasn’t sure about the fit (despite their encouragement) and opted for a different style, which I put on layaway. After a week of thinking about that first dress, I booked an appointment to go back and try it on again and I'm so glad I did! From the minute I walked in they once again made me feel amazing in each dress I tried on, but that very first dress was still the one and they made it happen for me. I can’t thank you enough!

I’m looking forward to returning for my alterations appointment in June and can’t wait to put the dress on again. Thank you for making this experience such an easy one!

I was very impressed by the service and attention to details I was given by the team. My stylist was Erica and she was amazing! Made me felt so pretty and so beautiful! In addition to all the other ladies there. It was the first place I stopped and found my dress! After going to a few other bridal boutique… I knew it was the one. Nothing compared to how happy I felt! 100000 % would recommend 🥰
