For those who are in the Lawrence area, especially those who use the park, and need to make quick purchases, Davidson is a good option for buying dry goods and pops.

The store is spacious, has a good variety of products, and is always clean and organized.

The prices are not much different from what we are used to in some other markets, but it is worth comparing on apps.

I have never had any problems with the cashier or store staff, but I must admit that the security guards are very rude at all times, and that they look at you at the entrance of the store and if they don't like you, they will follow you throughout your shopping.

The place has good accessibility for customers with physical disabilities and/or users of canes and walkers. They have direct access to the subway, wide hallways, handrails, and a bathroom adapted to serve customers.

For those who are going to buy fresh products, check the expiration date of the product and its integrity. I have had problems with fruits, salads, and meats, and this happened more than twice.

In the area, there are parking lots for cars, as well as paid parking on the street.

Store hires people to follow you around and make you uncomfortable to check if youre stealing. As a person of color this is targeted. If you want to feel unsafe and followed by men twice your size shop here. I'd put a 0 rating if I could.

We’ve been loyal customers at this particular City Market for over three years, spending thousands of dollars at this location. Today, we had an experience that left us feeling disrespected, uncomfortable, and completely unwelcome. While shopping, my girlfriend and I was followed by an undercover security officer for over ten minutes—for no reason. We weren’t doing anything suspicious, and yet we were clearly being watched and followed throughout the store.

This kind of treatment is unacceptable. It made us feel targeted and judged, and it completely undermined any sense of trust we had in this store. We expected better from a place we’ve supported for years.

We’re bringing this to the attention of management and will be escalating it through corporate channels. This isn’t just a bad shopping experience—it’s a serious issue, and we won’t be returning until it’s addressed appropriately.

Have been living in the neighbourhood 20+ years. Have shopped at this city market for 3 years+. This past year “undercover” security have followed way to obviously and closely. Recently had an experience that crossed a line. I was followed through the entire store for the full duration of my grocery shopping. I reported it to management. Disgusting, shameful and offensive behaviour. Will not be supporting this location until this is properly investigated and addressed.

Staff is not friendly and often speak to each other in a different language.
They never greet yuh at cash and they never thank you for your purchase. Small little stuff you would expect.
Selection of hot prepared foods are very limited and unhealthy as if they don’t understand the needs of the neighborhood.

I purchased a Mediterranean vegetable sandwich this afternoon. I got home, and the bread was beyond stale. The mozzarella cheese was blue under the arugula and yellow towards the edges. I am too busy to go back to return it. They should be absolutely ashamed of selling this product.

This store is beautiful!! I also found my favorite snack here, Bean Bark! This store has a huge natural value section with so many healthy food alternatives! It is also wonderful to see a store supporting local products from Ontario. If you've never shopped at this store before, I highly recommend it.😍
