Relatively interesting store. I came here on a Saturday and they had plenty of interesting samples out. I recommend purchasing sausages while you’re here.

I love a unique grocery store; there were so many goodies here.

The in-store deli was a pleasant surprise as I was hungry and they had so many hot lunch options. I ended up getting their classic Reuben sandwich with a local dairy supplier of chocolate milk and it did not disappoint. The portion size was generous that I only had half and ate the other half for lunch then next day. It was delicious and I'll be back to eat again.

Also they had a gift store in the corner where I bought a beautiful bowl that I'll be gifting for a housewarming. I didn't get to see everything but pricing was very fair.

P.S. If you return the glass bottle of milk, you get a toonie back.

Shopped here for the first time and there were so many options! The deals were amazing! Lots of specials and 50% off meats. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Shout out to Sherry who helped me cash out and introduced me to the Garlic Expressions vinaigrette! It’s sooo tasty! We will be back

I use to love this store. Very nice place until I went in today!
The washrooms were dirty and the staff who cashed me out was a bit of pudding. Let me explain that experience. As I observed while everyone was cashing out. The cashier was saying hi and chatting and being polite to everyone. However, when I reached at the till area to cash out, Not a word! Not even an eye contact, until she had to let me know my total.
To tell you the truth I was ok with it. Wasn’t thinking to much of it. Then it came down to a simple question I had asked her. The way she responded, well it was upsetting. She was not interested in anything I had to say. Nor was she nice in any way. Very short and well rude.
I simply asked, is there a clear plastic bag here or anywhere so I can put the meat in it, before I put it into my backpack , so it wouldn’t get dirty. Even before I can finish she said no. Not even suggesting a solution or anything. Perhaps the meat counter could have rewrapped it, or some sort of solution. She dismissed me like I were some kind of a child. I felt a little embarrassed to tell you the truth. Please be kind to your customers. We are the ones who keep you open and help pay your pay check.
Hope this experience do not happen again. I do enjoy browsing and getting treats for my family along with the cooked foods. The cook food by the way is very delicious. Keep up the good work and that department. The baked donuts and pastries are amazing as well. I would definitely suggest given them a try and hopefully your Experience is not as bad.

Denninger’s – Unique and Specialized, but Pricey

Denninger’s is a very interesting supermarket with a great selection of worldly and natural foods. It’s not your typical grocery store—you’ll find all kinds of unique items from around the world.

That said, it is a bit on the pricey side, so I don’t shop here regularly. I usually stop by on special occasions or when I want to create a unique gift basket—and for that, it’s perfect. Their products make great specialty gifts that you can’t find just anywhere.

Good prices cute shop good food. But the staff gives you off-putting vibes, the intensely stare at you the entire time you're in the store if you're under 60 and the cashiers will follow you throughout the aisles.
I would recommend going here if you are over the age of 60 not if you are under the age of 60 this staff will make you feel like you are unwelcome.
