Dropped by the shop last week to look at items for upcoming fixture replacements and a shower renovation in my home. I was assisted by Graeme who was very knowledgeable, friendly and answered all the questions I had. The experience was very comfortable; no sales pressure or steering me toward fixtures that were high end and/or unnecessarily "gadgety." Good selection of bathroom and kitchen products, too! In the end, I found several items that suit my needs and offer sound quality and good features for a reasonable cost. Thanks Graeme!

A few days ago myself and wife were looking for a plumbing store in Salmon Arm. EMCO came up on our phone. We googled this store and followed directions. We went to the front counter and we were greeted by a Mr. Ken Stump. Another employee also came out and introduced herself and she showed genuine interest in our 2 small dogs. We were looking for a bathroom sink plumbing part which Ken was able to find. Both staff had the following attributes:

- friendly
- helpful
- honest
- spoke highly of EMCO and the new boss
- encouraged us to return to EMCO in the future

Ironically we now need a new toilet and we will definitely return to EMCO in Salmon Arm for assistance this coming week. Great store, friendly and helpful staff and we definitely recommend a trip to this store.

Extreme Exercise in Frustration. I have purchased a number of items from Emco over the years, so when it came time to renovate my bathroom, that's the first place I went. I was looking for a drop in tub, and all the bathroom fixtures. I was helped by a nice young lady, that I could tell was quite new to the business. I asked her if they had any drop in tubs on display, and was told no. I then started to look at shower and tub faucets. If you have ever been in the store, the first thing you will notice is there are no prices on anything. If you are like me, and not a billionaire, prices effect my buying decisions. I liked a particular line of shower heads and faucets, but none of them had prices on them. I asked the young lady if she could get back to me via email with the prices for the shower heads (about 6 types), and 5' drop in tubs. I left her my card, and left. About a week later I had not heard from her, and phoned back on the status of my prices. She said she had been busy, but would get back to me. I then received a condescending email from a Brian gentlemen whom, I would guess is the manager. He stated that they were not in a position to "price everything in the store". I hardly asked for everything, I merely want to make an informed decision on about 6 to 8 items. I guess business is so good that they don't have to bother with customer requests, it just walks in the door and buys things without asking about the price.

Yikes. My experience with this company was less than pleasant. Damaged goods, wrong sizes/quantities and a fair share of obnoxious employees. Normally I'd chalk it up as bad luck or off days but three out three times now this company absolutely blew it. My apologies to the competent people that no doubt work there. I must have missed them.
