This place is a gem! Pat literally has something to make every woman happy, from patchwork to cozy to fuzzy to classy. She has a fabulous vintage brooch offering, and always fun accessories. She still has her “sassy bead” side as well and has fixed jewelry for me in a pinch. Can’t recommend this little yellow shop of dreams enough!

What a privilege to come to the Frou frou shop on York st in Ottawa. Pat, the owner, is welcoming me with so much kindness and warmth every time I go there.
She has a beautiful artistic taste to choose chic clothing suited for any age or purse.
She is an expert at fixing jewellery. She has repaired a pair ob broken earings that nobody could fix, not even in Paris, France !
She was able to transform 3 brooches into beautiful pendants so that I won't anymore damage my cloth with the previous pins.
She is very creative and was able to combine two of my sets of clip earrings and create one pair of pendant earings which look stunning to everyone !
Dont' miss meeting such a good-hearted individual !

I visited here a couple weeks ago with a very specific piece in mind that I was looking for. Unfortunately, we were unable to find it… However, the owner is absolutely amazing and so so very kind. She helped me look to see if she had anything similar and then she even pointed me in the direction of other places she said I should check. She was wonderful!! Definitely recommend going!

Excellent service! The manager was very helpful, gave us a tour of the bead shop upstairs, and even explained how to make a macrame bracelet! I'll be a loyal customer. Great prices on beads too! If you just want to look around and find unique merchandise, this is the spot. The building is very quaint and well decorated. It's an adventure in there!

Great store that carries lots of funky, one-of-a-kind fashions. GREAT shoes and boots. Wonderful jewellery and a great variety of accessories. Clothing sizes are not for the larger ladies and prices can be a bit high but well worth it. Staff is friendly and extremely helpful without being cloying.

Sassy bead and the Frou Frou store shared the space on William Street in the ByWard Market the high cost of the rent made it too expensive to stay and the owner moved to an old house at
159 York Street (at Cumberland)
In Ottawa, Ontario.

You walk into the shop and there are accessories, clothes and jewellery to go with the outfits the staircase on the left is slightly crocked.

Upstairs at the top of the staircase you word find a room with a table and 2 chairs along with an assort ment of bottles of beads either on a shelf or hanging on the wall.
