I will write a good review because yes, sometimes there is a long processing time, yes, sometimes there are queues, yes, sometimes you expect a faster decision. Maybe understaffed. But there are really good people working here who want to help. And even if there is no doctor, they do tests and send the results to the clinic where there is a doctor and he then prescribes treatment even remotely. And it's done very quickly. They helped us and more than once. Thank you! Very worthy medical institution!

I have Lupus & a couple other ailments but suffer from severe flare ups a lot affecting mainly my skin, most of my joints . I try my best to avoid going into to a hospital but when it’s not controlled or nothing I can do is helping and I can’t take the pain anymore or can’t sleep I have to resort to emerg.. I try to stay away from public/hospitals as much as I can bc of my horrible immune system & risk of getting sick(er). And to know I could wait there long periods of time around sick people scares me, Its very painful for me to sit but I know the enviable at these places.
But the other night I just had enough of this unbearable pain.
Went over to the hospital recently w/extreme knee pain & feeling very weak n sick to my stomach from the pain & knee cap locking or whateee it’s doing.. Had to wait for on call dr for about an hour. Nurse couldn’t help me. She apparently was running the emerg & the “acute” area. Gave me a bell to ring just incase. Took dr a while to arrive. When she did arrive n finally seen me, really didn’t ask many questions, never touched the knee or leg- told her my problems I’ve been having n couldn’t take the pain anymore longer & couldn’t drive into Edm in this condition so it wasn’t an option.
Told her I have pics/videos documented when I have flare ups happen as they’re lasting longer each episode & new things are popping up- she had no interest in that at all (?) I was in so much pain with my knee randomly seizing- burning-horrible pain down from knee cap, leg n into top of my foot & toes (suffered for over a week like this) Dr came over talked to me for about 2-3 mins then she disappeared back in a room to never see her again , nurse literally gave me 2 tablets I can’t think of the name of them- told me they’d start working in about 30 mins- and I told the nurse after the 30 min mark I’m still in just as much pain why isn’t it working.. I live alone I don’t have help- I continued waiting wondering what’s going on..not an hour went by and nurse came over said the dr discharged you now you can go home.! ?! Like wth- all that time and so as a grown woman, I left crying still in extreme pain that I went in there with!
There’s no walk in drs around here! can’t book to see a dr around here unless you are a patient!! Im unable to drive right now & apparently the emergency hospital couldn’t help me either!!!! What is going on!!!!! Talk about feeling hopeless, alone & no one to help in times of need- I don’t get this in the slightest- Im not in the greatest health unfortunately but it would be terrifying if I had another stroke or god forbid a heart attack !!
EXTREMELY BEYOND FRUSTRATED WITH OUR AHS! No dr to be seen. No hospital to tend to your health needs! Pathetic, scary & really disheartening 😔

terrible service. went for a x ray at 10 and waited nearly 3 hours for 2 x-rays in freezing air conditioning in the emergency room. no other people in here with plenty of doctors but no one to help a child in pain. terrible attitude towards everyone and everything

Today May 8th at 6.30pm I dropped my wife off to get checked out because she had chest and back pain, the nurse came and said the emergency is closed and ask what my wife expect her to do ( seriously ). We left right away, this is going to have consequences I can promise that.

Usually not too bad.

Today they just decided to walk away from their reception area but left it wide open. Waited over 10min, rang the bell multiple times and no one showed up.

Several nurses and security personnel walked by but no one said a thing.

After +10min wait with no one showing up, decided to go to the lab where the appointment was booked only to wait another 5min for the lady to say she can't do anything unless officially registered at the empty reception area.

Wasted an entire lunch break and nothing was accomplished.

Pretty irritated to say the least.

Showed up got buzzed in really quick, went over to the nurses station got through the paper work in like 5min (really fast) then doctor came and stitched me up in gotta be less then 10 minutes it was great i highly recommend 🔥

Excellent service for a 24 hour Hospital! Doctor is on call, nurses have a great attitude. Lab services and x-rays during the days, but can be called in if needed.
Overall, you could be diagnosed, treated and on your way in the same period that it takes to get checked into emergency at a big city hospital.

Never ever have I felt compelled to write a review of a hospital but I have to in this case. I deal with occasional panic attacks and I recently had the worst one I ever had coming home from the city. I had to stop at the ER here. And I have never been treated better or with more dignity than at this hospital. Usually If i go to a hospital for a panic attack it goes like standard: ECG, blood test for hear attack, and an ativan and your on your way. Not here, they actually wanted to know my history, what led up to this, what could have triggered it, all of the factors. The ER got really busy with some trauma patients but the Dr. never just said here is some meds and you are on your way. He actually gave me his phone to do some guided meditation while he dealt with other things and you know what it made me feel better than any pill ever has. I was impressed for how such a small ER dealt so efficiently with everything else that was going on as well. The Dr. and the ONE nurse also did everything they could to get to the bottom of what was going on with me. I left that ER not needing any benzos and that has NEVER happened before, this is an amazing hospital.
