I called a few other shops first (didn’t think a Giant store would be well stocked, I was very wrong) starting with asking to speak to a mechanic as I had a technical question. They all said something along the lines of, sure I’m a mechanic ask away, I’d ask my question, then be told I needed to be transferred, at which point I just hung up.

Giant was the only shop where someone picked up and was able to answer the question right away.

I’ll use Giant to source anything they can for me from now on. The manager is both incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating

I was having issues with the front rotor brake on my bike. The bike is older and I was worried that they might not be able to fix it.
Steve and Andrew were the service personnel who helped me.
They got it fully repaired and did an excellent job. The price was very reasonable and everything is just like new.
I would highly recommend this shop for anyone who needs anything repaired on their bike.

Wanting to take my biking to the next level I started to research new modern mountain bikes. A lot has changed over the past many years and shopping for a new bike can be overwhelming. Direct to consumer bikes is now a big market segment with attractive pricing, however I was worried about service or warranty issues.

Next was components, again lots of changes over the past many years. It is critical to compare each and every component when comparing bikes and manufactures. YouTube can be very helpful with folks doing comparisons between a variety of bikes and components.

Finally I decided to walk into my local Giant retailer. I was greeted by Dave who helped answer all my questions, and had lots of patience as I was very new to the modern market. There was a great in store sale going on so I decided on the Trance. Bike was ready to go in a matter of hours. When I arrived home I noticed some items needed adjustments, called into the store, Andrew answered who told me to bring it in immediately to be checked - no appointment. Service was quick, in and out in 10 minutes.

Giant has a great warranty, coupled with unlimited adjustments in the first 12 months, it is an amazing benefit to anyone, regardless if you're an expert or just starting out.

Every time I visit Giant Kanata, I have an outstanding experience. Andrew and Mat, in particular, have always been incredibly helpful. They always go above and beyond to assist with any inquiries and requests. Additionally, further to their regularly offered services, for easy tweaks and other such smaller things they’ve even kindly stepped in with no-charge support, just as a genuine courtesy.

It’s a huge win for the Kanata-Stittsville area to finally have a Giant store, which saves us locals from the trip to Bank Street. That said, even if the Kanata location didn’t exist, I wouldn’t hesitate to drive as far the distance to Bank Street just to work with the team here. That’s how much trust and respect they’ve earned through their professionalism, the way they carry themselves and stand behind their products, and how this store is run.

I have neglected my Trek Multi track 700 bike for many years. Finally the gear shifter on the handle bar gave way and needed replacement. I live in Kanata and the internet showed the Giant Kanata Bicycle store nearby.
When I entered and explained what I thought I needed to make the bike functional, the staff member was very knowledgeable, friendly and suggested a couple of other minor parts and adjustments. The estimated price was very reasonable.
I picked up the bike 2 days. It felt like a new bike and I thought to myself I should have had it tuned up more regularly. Anyway I would certainly recommend Giant Kanata Bike store for purchasing a new bike or getting repairs done for your existing Bicycle.
