My new go-to tailor for my formal wear! Very fairly priced and quick turn around times. Honest staff give their professional opinions (even joked with me about a dress I brought this summer asking how set I was on the shoes I'd brought to wear with it, because if I just had shoes an inch taller I wouldn't need to bother hemming it.)

Heads up if you haven't been to a seamstress who does hems like this before, they cut the bulk off while you're wearing the dress with your shoes instead of pinning it (just so you're not alarmed!) I've taken several dresses to her this year and all of them have been absolutely perfectly done.

I went to golden stitch in Dundas for the first time two weeks ago to get a few things repaired. I ripped my favourite pair of jeans down the back seam and I brought them in thinking she couldn’t fix them but thought I would try any ways. Without hesitation the seamstress said yep no problem.
She even called me and said they were ready a day early. You can barely even tell they ripped, and even less so when they are on. She did such a fabulous job and even reinforced them on the inside with another piece of jean to make the seam stronger.

Brought in a pant suit to be helped for my daughter bridal shower. They gave me a four day pick up, which was fine they were very busy. To my surprise got a call next day to advise was ready to be picked up, they understood how important the coming celebration was. I was referred to Golden Stitch after my bodice and lace cover top for my wedding dress did not arrive, furthermore my shoes had not arrived, making me choose a higher heel, meaning my skirt needed altering and I needed to buy a lace top and bodice from a store and have that altered to my vision for my dream wedding.

Golden Stitch did an amazing job in less than a week! There was a lot of work to be done and she did it all with a smile!

She added two extra layers to my skirt, added a bridal lace neckline to my top, extended the sleeves of the top with French lace and bridal lace and adorned the top with more than 30 Swarovski crystals shaped into flowers. The work was done delicately and looked absolutely beautiful. She also altered my bodice, top and skirt as they were too big and everything came together just perfectly!
