We love stopping by local bakeries whenever we’re on a day trip. Discovering these little gems is the perfect way to enhance your adventures. Picking up some sweet snacks to satisfy your sweet tooth.
We have visited Aylmer many times, and for some reason, we had never been to Grandma’s Oven before. Well, we rectified that this time.
If you’re looking for next-level homemade treats, this charming bakery in Aylmer is the spot! We indulged in their cupcakes, which were soft, fluffy, and topped with just the right amount of decadent frosting. Their stuffed cookies? Absolute perfection—gooey, rich, and packed with flavour. And let’s talk about the butter tarts… buttery, sweet, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, just like grandma used to make!
Everything here tastes like it was made with love, and the cosy atmosphere makes you feel right at home. If you’re ever in the area, do yourself a favour and grab a box of goodies—you won’t regret it!

I have been meaning to write this review for awhile now. I absolutely love Grandma’s Oven. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the food is delicious every time, and I know that when I custom order cakes they will look amazing.

I have ordered at least ten custom birthday cakes over the last few years and they are stunning. We get so many compliments on the decorating skills and the taste!

Everyone also asks if the fondant tastes good, and the answer is yes!

A huge thank you to Grandma’s Oven for adding an extra special touch to all of our parties!

Martha assisted me in designing my beautiful wedding cake. The team at Grandma’s Oven did a phenomenal job bringing my vision to life. The cake was absolute perfection and she delivered on every detail. Not only is it stunning to look at, the cake itself was delicious! The sugar flowers were incredible! We had so many compliments, even days after the wedding. Thank you so much for making our dreams come true on our wedding day! I will be coming back for any future cakes we need! 10/10.

This place can't replace your grandma but it can probably replace her food.

Every time I visit Aylmer I'm usually bombarded with texts from my girlfriend, she's usually begging me to stop into this bakery.

The food here is phenomenal, everything we've tried so far has been top notch. My personal favorite is the "cornflake cookie", Ive never heard of this cookie up until now, but let me tell you, I've had my share of cookies over the years and discovering a new one that's this good, has lead me to question my own existence.

If you stop here, you'll be hooked.

Martha was a dream to work with from start to finish for our wedding. She did cake truffles for our wedding and they were AMAZING! We had so many compliments on our dessert - easy to handle, can choose different flavours, and they were so tasty. Martha met with us over a year before our wedding to discuss the different designs and processes for our truffles. Her designs on each were so beautiful. They even delivered and set up all of the truffles during our dinner without guests even noticing.

I would recommend Martha and Grandma's Oven again and again!

Wonderful custom cakes! Red velvet tasted delicious and the cake itself was beautiful. Good communication from the business as well and very reasonably priced.

We ordered a custom cake for my son's first birthday and it turned out SO good! It was extremely similar to the inspiration picture I gave. Everyone loved the flavor of the cake! We also ordered our wedding cake and had a great experience back then! And we love stopping by in general for their cake pops and cupcakes 🙂
