I will drive past several other butchers to shop here at Grillers. I have found their quality to be above average and their prices to be right on par if not a bit cheaper than other butchers. Plus their selection of unique and rare meats such as lamb, boar, elk and venison is second to none - at least here in small town Vernon.

I'm very happy with grillers meats. I bought a half pig, half a beef, and they are excellent. Beef sausages I had made are excellent. Plus best price in town on half and whole animals.

Service is great, but lately the meat is either sour when I get it or is going sour (sour the next day). Unfortunately I gave them the benefit of the doubt and continued to try different cuts, but it was the same. I had gotten bacon wrapped pork tenderloins that were noticeably smelly when I got them, and discoloured. I brought them back and they replaced them with new ones (which was very nice of them), but again, most of them were sour. I just recently got two T-bone steaks and the tenderloin side was smelly and discoloured when I unwrapped them within an hour of buying them. I'm not sure what the issue would be but I hope they can fix this! Because I did enjoy this little meat shop.

Griller's Meats! I am always very impressed when I walk in because all you see is fresh meat behind the glass counter!!
Good quality cuts of meats, and the prices are comparable, but they usually have a special section. Lately, it has been, buy 1 pound of bacon / get 1 pound free. So I have been stocking up my freezer!! 😊 The bacon is good quality with a very good flavor and better than most bacon you find in a big box store, much better than the Campfire brand and thicker,
but not quite the quality as the Mitchell's brand. They have a very knowledgeable staff with plenty of recommendations. With dinner ideas and helpful advice. This establishment is mostly fresh meat, but they do have freezer's with dinner's, frozen entrees, as well as frozen fish, etc.. A sausage section and plenty of sauces for your choices. You may not save much money here, but you will feel like a kid in a candy store, with plenty of choices for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
The quality is top notch with quick and friendly service.

The entrance is wheelchair friendly, but you will have to park on the street.

Went in today and asked for four steaks, two larger and two a bit smaller. I was told that they're all the same size and he grabbed the closest four and wrapped them up before I had a chance to say anything else. I felt really rushed and my request was not taken seriously. I got home and unpacked my steaks to discover that one is half the size of another, and there's a huge chuck of fat on another. The quality was not what I was expecting for the price and the service was awful.

I visited Grillers Meats for the first time. If you include local markets in my list of stores, this is my 250th store or so in Vernon.

I couldn't find any meat that was instantly ready to eat other than a pepperoni stick, but I did find Denzel's habanero hot sauce.

It is not related to beloved actor Denzel Washington, but rather is the name of an Enderby hot sauce company.

I paid just over $11 for this bottle of hot sauce.

I mixed it into some ketchup and it gave a wonderful kick.

They had a wide selection of meat, but because I don't eat much meat, I opted for Washington's Sauce.

Oh, and because it was Halloween, a cashier offered me free candy.
