If you're looking for perfection, quality materials, friendly staff and a job done right the first time, look no further than Harper's Garden Centre in Ancaster, Ontario. Their incredible landscape designer, "Q", is top notch in the business. He's absolutely a pleasure to work with, answers all your questions and goes the extra mile. Thank you all for now giving me one of the nicest flower beds on the street. Give they a try. You'll be happy you did. Happy customer!

I always enjoy going to Harper's Garden Centre. They have a great selection of tropical houseplants in a very warm greenhouse, great to visit in the dead of winter! Staff are knowledgeable and friendly but don't hover over you.

I've bought lots of outdoor plants too including two fruit trees, perennial flowers, and shrubs. Good selection of outdoor planters and decorative pots.

They also sell Christmas trees and firewood in winter.

Harper's Garden Centre offers a fantastic variety of plants, with a wide range of affordable and stylish plant pots. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, always available to assist, making it easy to navigate their selection. In addition to pots, they feature a great assortment of decorative items, making it a one stop shop for both plants and decor.

Very interesting collection’s and very healthy plants items like decors and pots very beautiful…I hardly recommend everyone to come and visit and buy its not that expensive….

Always has an excellent selection and very helpful + knowledgeable staff. The plants are always in excellent condition and well taken care of.

The place is large, but kept very tidy, and offers various products seasonally (though I typically visit for their tropicals/indoor plants).

Definitely worth a visit, but just know you will be leaving with at least one plant 😅

Also, In posting this review, I have noticed a lot of poor reviews recently regarding parking availability for the tiffany falls trail nearby. This trail has limited parking available at the trail head (just up the street) but is often packed as it is a popular trail. The only other nearby parking is at Harper's.

I visited Harper's recently and the parking lot was almost entirely full, however the majority of visitors were not shopping at the store and instead were at the trail. While I cannot speak to any internal policies or city bylaws, I understand that this is a challenging situation for the garden center to contend with and frustrating.

Without policies restricting parking use or requiring payment, they would not be able to offer parking to all of their paying customers. If you are utilizing their parking space to attend the trail, understand that you are occupying their property for a period of time, making that space unavailable for other potential customers. This may not be a concern every day, but can be problematic on busier days or later in the spring. Harper's has generously allowed trail visitors to park at their location, but with the increased demand for this resource, please be understanding if this service is denied or Harper's charges for its use.

If you are into gardening, avoid this place at all costs. It is dangerous to your wallet. You will not escape without buying few plants. Knowledgeable and helpful staff will make sure if that!

All kidding aside, plants here we found to be generally in better shape than your big box store, they are more vigorous, there are varieties you will not see in your corner store. It is very hard to come here and just not wander thru the rows of plants and lose track of time.

Harper’s Garden Center is fantastic! Anthony and his team provided excellent recommendations on the best trees and plants for our space, ensuring everything would thrive beautifully. Their professionalism, knowledge, and friendly approach made the entire experience enjoyable.They have a lot of quality selection at multiple price points making it easy to work within our budget.
