I was greeted promptly and professionally by the gentleman who helped me. He was very knowledgeable and resourceful.

I was expecting to see a larger space with other people. It was held in a smaller office.
The appraisal was quick, however, the prices offered were a bit on the low side. Overall, an interesting experience learning more about the perceived value and current price of silver, gold, white gold, diamonds and pearls.

My husband and I brought our jewelry into the Maple Ridge location where we met with Joseph. He was very personable and was honest with his assessment of what we brought in. We sold quite a bit of our jewelry but there was no pressure to do so. I brought my daughter back the next day and again Joseph was excellent! I would highly recommend to see Joseph!

I did not have a good experience last week. I brought several items to guage value including a beautiful ring. He told me in a very thorough and descriptive way that it was glass and not diamonds. At best cubic zirconia. I immediately went to the jeweller's I got it from close to 20 years ago. They were very confused why he would have said that. I paid for a genuine legit appraisal and I 100% have diamonds. And worth way more than I even thought. Thousands more. Either the guy was not an expert as claimed or this is a snake oil outfit. They are truly looking for your silver and gold and I recommend you always do your research first before going to these folks. Do not take their word for any of their appraisals.

I brought several pieces of jewelry in with me. All the person I dealt with was looking to do was buy at scrap gold prices. One piece(a heavy14k rope chain) he said was 10k without even testing the gold and low balled a price. Quoted $1800 for a ring that has an appraisal of $15,000. I would not deal with again.

What a waste of time. I didnt even make it to the event in my area offering appraisals. Was asked to email preliminary info of my pieces and when I did I get an email basically saying “ don’t bother because of where they assumed I had originally bought them. Then he goes further to say don’t ever buy from these people. So unprofessional. I collect because I enjoy the story and artists behind the pieces that I buy. Lesson learned. At least i freed up some time on my Saturday rather than wasting my time with these guys

Harrington's offers a great service. They do careful appraisals and provide lots of information about current market conditions. Payment for articles is immediate. I would certainly use this service again.

I was impressed with the courteous and professional approach of the two appraisers I spoke with (Sal and Steve). They were warm, human, obviously hugely knowledgable, and I learned a lot from both of them. Sometimes appraisers can be curt and cold, but Sal and Steve made the experience very pleasant. Not very professional appraisers they look at what you have and just give you a price they want to pay. I had a gold Bulova pocket watch that he told me was gold plate.He never tested it, but would give me 10 dollars for it. I took it to another place where they did a scratch test and put it in a machine. They gave me 640 for the watch. They also under cut my gold coins by 150 each. These guys are crooks do not deal with them.
