Friendly, but i sadly got short changed.

I did ask about it but my answer was rushed when a customer came to the till after me and the customer service went with it.

Walked in with $6.45 and left with only $2.30. If i spent $3.15, i should have $3.30.

Probably wont frequent because it aint my scene honestly, but the above situation was my experience.

I used to come often as I was getting great help and advice from the clerk whom I think was Jaz. I'm not sure of the name but I know the face because she was always so friendly. Anyway I needed a gift and she took the time to make such a perfect package for what I was looking for so I promised to come see her anytime I needed some "expertise". I returned only to find out she had been fired. Can't say I'll return as the new staff member I met seem to be on auto pilot and not very helpful.

I love this store, everything you need and quite alot of things you'd want too! Including plants!! The food selection is great, I often go there for snacks. I also buy vapes from there too, always alot to choose from in all price ranges! I love all the little nick knacks and random things this store has as well.

They have zero morals, they expect their employees to work 2 hours after finding out close family has passed away. I will never support a business like that and I encourage everyone to do the same

Hat News is alot like Bob's in Lethbridge. They got anything you need there, always have been able to.

But Hat News and Tobacco is gone.

Unfortunately their hours of operation have been cut back by about 12 hours each day*---this is not a complaint.

Hat News have reinvented themselves over the past what?...year?

They carry TONS of locally made goods=not hypocrites who actually DO support local.
You can buy things you had no idea anyone in town carried.

Redcliff Bakery, and many local producers are now much easier to get for Hatters who cannot get to Redcliff.

Hat News has gone under a total redesign and it is worth your time to check it out.

*I do not know how you staff a 24hr store with employees if their caliber so their new hours are a fine trade off.
it's the employees that make this store what it is.
I do not know how they tolerate the entire spectrum of the public...good and not so good;
How Hat News finds these people who work in one of the hardest retail environments around is beyond me.

See how they have changed.

Despite it being a tobacco store, the staff were very helpful when i decided to quit smoking and switch to vaping. The lady behind the counter explained to me all of the prices and brands i could try. Lowest prices in town and the staff are very knowledgable, as in they have tried most brands of cigarettes and ecigs, so they know what theyre talking about when they recommend something. Great service, great staff, great prices, i definetly recommend this store to other people out there.
