I had a frustrating experience with Jalili Law Firm. After signing a retainer and paying a deposit, I received a quote for transcripts that turned out to be completely wrong — an error caused by their office.

Because of their mistake, I had to deal with unnecessary back-and-forth calls, including conversations involving my spouse. Very little actual legal work was done on my case — no transcript orders were finalized and no filings were submitted.

Despite this, they deducted over $1,200 from my retainer for what I believe was mostly administrative confusion and their own internal errors. I had to send multiple follow-up emails and wait several days just to get the rest of my money back.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm. There was poor communication, billing for tasks that shouldn’t have been charged, and no real sense of accountability.

This law office only takes your money without doing anything, and worse, even before you hire them, they ask you to leave a review for them,which it happens to my husband as well and i have the txt msg that their staff member Jane. I personally decided to go with them because of the reviews, and it was the biggest mistake I made. Almost two months passed after I paid the money, but they did nothing. They said the transcript fee was $1270, and we agreed to it. After several weeks, I got an email saying the amount was $3700.

When Josh called me, he said he would update us, but after that, two weeks passed and no one followed up as he had promised. I contacted Nasim Jalili and spoke with her for about 15-20 minutes about the situation, but still, nothing happened. When I saw nothing was moving forward and they knew we were in a hurry, we decided to cancel the contract.

They only charged us $350 for something that should’ve been their responsibility to follow up on. Then, they took $1440 from the amount I had already paid.

I really regret the time and money I wasted trusting this wrong law office. I sincerely hope no one else places their trust in this office.

This is a review for Susan Von Achten. This firm charged me $10000 to file my family law application. They gave no proper legal advise regarding my family law matter. They failed to properly file my application and serve it. I had to retain another lawyer to do everything from scratch. Stay away from this firm if you have a Family Law case. Although I respect Ms. Jalili, I do not appreciate the fact that I had to pay another $10000 to amend my application and fix the errors this firm did on my application. They tried to do back door negotiations with the opposing counsel. I have filed a complaint against the opposing counsel to LSO.

I really appreciate their help as they did a wonderful job in getting the results that I needed. If it wasn't for them, I'm sure I would have ended up with a criminal record. But I walk away with no criminal record and very happy. I only hope that others that choose. Find a lawyer that you seriously think about jelili. Law, the kindness that they provide is above and beyond.
