This is our usual store but after the last few trips, we may change stores. The stock crew are the rudest individuals on the planet, constantly cutting customers (paying customers) off and stopping with their carts in the middle of aisles making those shopping turn around and go to another aisle. And the 2 older gentlemen that stock fresh meat are the worst offenders.

Happy Thanksgiving. Needed a cart to pick up 2 large bottles of water, plus some other items. Went to go through the self check out " NO CARTS". Not exactly customer service. So started toward a cash, got there and... CLOSED. This was 825am. Not even open an hour. The usual cash bla bla is open. Went there and nope. Finally ended up at the express. ironic that it took one rude no carts allowed and two closed cashed to get there. I don't need to shop there. No customer does. No one needs put up with poor customer service and being jerked around. You know who needs customer? No Frills. Better start treating our time and money with respect. No one needs you.

*Edited* This store has lost the plot. Since renovating and getting fancy the prices have noticeably escalleted. Clearly, emphasis has been put on items with higher profit margins like pre-seasoned pork chops rather than bulk options for cheap. Aug 29 I went in with intent of doing a full shop, I left the store with only a few items. The store is called No Frills ffs. If I wanted Metro, I would shop at Metro. The staff is good - the only redeeming quality.

Went to checkout, and the lineups at cash were 5 deep as express lane was not open. I never use self checkout on the 99% average but decided too. I went to start my order and was told quite sharply I could not bring a cart into the self checkout area. I am disabled as I have a bad back and need the cart to walk the store as well get the items to my car. So I just said fine, then you put it away and walked out. This is not the first situation in this store as the lineups another time were long and when I got to the teller after waiting I was told I could not use that till as only had a few items and needed to go down to one of the first three tellers which were lined up. I think this store should have a review of their policies for customer service.

So this is the second time this store showed a total lack of customer service. Lays chips were marked overhead at 3.49, I bought 5 bags. At the register it showed 3.99. I mentioned the price difference to the cashier and she called the grocery gent on the floor. He came and told me he just changed the price and discounted one bag. I protested and he mumbled something nasty while walking away. The cashier was very nice and apologized, I said it's not your fault, thank you. Metro is just next door, I'll just go there.

The last two times I was at the store I was treated with the upmost disrespect.

I bought two cases of water and was told I could not go through self check out with my cart. Lines ups were backed up to the cleaning isle. There was a staff person and a security guard at self check out no customers. I left the water there and pushed the cart around to the check out so I could pick up my water to take it to the car. That seemed to work.

Last night there was a lot of staff but only one cashier again the line up was backed up past the clothing. I only had water and about 8 small items in the cart I rented. I pushed the cart around to the foyer, and proceeded to check out. A clerk and young man came rushing over and created a scene saying carts were not permitted in the check out area (which it clearly wasn’t). He said stop scanning the items right away or I’ll shut the system down. That was totally embarrassing. I’m not sure what he wanted me to do. He treated me like a thief.

I left the items there and started my shopping at Giant Tiger which I might add was a third of the cost.

They have now lost more customers as my family will not shop there either. Nice way to treat our seniors ?

Great choices, things not readily available in other no frills. Clean and comfortable for a store so large.
