My partner and I were looking for a short term campsite in this area, last minute to enjoy Port Stanley. Patti was very friendly and accommodating when I called in a request and was very prompt and informative with follow up texts. She was up front about not having a working shower and adjusted the price accordingly. We were only staying 4 nights so were okay with that as we had friends near by. When we arrived we were a little put off by all the garbage and recycling sitting at the entrance but once we got past that were taken in by the charm of being nestled between a creek and a corn field. We were greeted immediately by Patti and Rowland who got us settled in and provided us with a welcome list of things of interest in the area. The location was ideal, allowing us to bike into town and not have to deal with parking issues on a long weekend. The seasonal campers on site who we met were extremely friendly and welcoming and we also thoroughly enjoyed their company. They seemed perfectly happy with the campground. While there, there were obvious signs of improvements in the works. A higher rating would be in order once the fixes are completed. We have every intention of returning
mainly because despite some of the camps shortcomings it turned out to be a wonderful place to be.

The park had new owners come in and empty the park within 2 years. Please note that the pics that the owners shared showed that the park was full when they came on board and now after 2 years everyone has left. It looks so empty now. We had previously stayed in this park for 12 years but unfortunately the last 2 years were so stressful and draining. Normally when you go camping it should be a stress reliever not this park now so we have moved on. If Jerry the old owner was still there we would still all be there. The owner said he wanted to drain the swamp and he has drained it almost completely everyone is leaving or has already left. These were new owners that took over and they do not have a clue how to run a park. We do not have sewage and the hydro they say is 30 amp but you cannot use the toaster and a grill at the same time. In addition to the hydro you are not allowed to use air-conditioning out take fans at all or they will unplug your trailer. When they say in their ad that they have spots for tents, they place them on your site the one you are already have paid for and they think that this is okay. I know what you are thinking but this is for real. They take plants and flowers from other people's sites and replant them on their own site. They charge $40 for someone to empty your tanks which in most places it is $20 or free because they don't have sewage. There is only two rows of trailers and the back row is cheaper than the front row of about $300 depending if you are on low ground or high ground if you are on low ground your site floods out and you are walking in water up to your knees a few times a summer, then you have as well the walnuts waking you up all night dropping on your trailers where these walnuts start falling on your trailers usually around the middle of September and leave huge dents in your trailer or damage satellites and what not costing thousands of dollars damage. See this last pic of a brand new trailer this year had $1000 damage due to walnuts. My water front had a huge tree trunk in front of my lot that stayed there all season and is still there that was our view. For the past 2 years our increase of seasonal sites went up at least $1000 a season and for what? They have not done anything around there except for themselves not for there paying tenants. All you have is one port-a-potty, no showers no nothing and they wanted $4000 plus HST so $4500 for this? Here are some pics of their boutique campground. Do not waste your time or money here. They are lucky I had to give it a one star to be able to send this review they don't even deserve that.

I was a tenant at this trailer park for the last 2 seasons. At the end of the 1st season, half the park left due to the owners and their behaviors. I hadn't witnessed what was being said and decided to continue there for the next season. Unfortunately, I became very aware of the problems people were having with the owners. So many to list. From, harassing me in the middle of the night about using my ac during a heat wave (I paid an extra 500$ for ac use), to peeking in my windows, to insisting people can only stay weekends even though we are charged too much for the whole season. I have been told the owner was a jail guard previously and honestly, he treats his tenants like prisoners. Then the manager who empties our sewage tanks and does other odd jobs, will only deal with services by the barter process. I gave him over $3000 of my personal belongings and still have not received a bill as to why I gave him so much. I have repeatedly requested a breakdown and it has never happened. The manager and a few others ended up getting my internet password and stealing my internet. Now, as I am moving out of the trailer, everything in my yard has been stolen. The park floods, its not visually pleasing and we were told there would be bathroom facilities 2 years ago. Still hasn't happened. Absolutely no amenities. The owner is delusional to think with no amenities and the price he charges and the way he treats the tenants that people will agree to only come on the weekends. I was a single, older female and have never felt so intimidated in my life. I would never recommend this park and would instead tell people to run from it!

Jerry and Penny, You were so right about Rowland and Patti. They were so nice to me at first. Most times I showed up and found them sitting on my deck and patio furniture. We all wanted to except and embrace them like we did everyone ., it was impossible. And then I was forced to move because they wanted my site. A friend 65 years old Dave, and myself 60, moved my stuff early for their benefit, just to get a very nasty email the next day. I still have it. Why not talk to me the day before, we were both there. I bought the gravel and landscape material, paid Jeff to lay it,. I bought the fence and put it up. You lied and said I could have another site, and changed your mind and tried to get me to move under one of the many walnut trees. I am glad I did not, the very nice ladies that did lost a 1000 dollar + install solar panel and you refuse to answer the nice letter or call from them. It sounds like someone splitting wood when the walnuts are dropping on those trailers. Rowland, You said I should act like I am incarcerated, nobody likes a rat, you know what happens to pigeons. I said you have been a screw (JAIL GUARD) too long.Campers will not talk about you If you stop doing unacceptable things. I believe Rowland wanted me to get mad enough to threaten or harm him because I just paid 3500 dollars and he could evict me. I did not. A camper there Brian 20 years +, said he will tell my lawyer he watched Patti go into his neighbors trailer to turn his outside 12 volt light off, with out his permission, and then looked through his cupboards. Rowland knows I have pins in both legs and in text that I have, said it is my responsibility to cut the steep hill to the waters edge. I said I have seen rabbits and chipmunks nesting on that steep hill. Too bad and Jeff cut it. Dave and Joan came to their trailer to find a beautiful butterfly bush chopped down on his lot of many years. I do not believe this is okay. In print Rowland and Patti say if anybody calls the ministry or township for any reason, they are evicted from the campground. Well I am not there now. This is a one road campground with walnuts on one side of it. They overfilled it with campers for the money, now no parking for campers or visitors, and not enough hydro. They were too cheap to dump the garbage bin until spring and the rats were plenty. I never had rat droppings in my trailer until then. Dogs were chasing and killing them. Rowland and Patti are their own worst enemy and I think they probably have lots, I never see any visitors at their place, just lots of empty chairs....Oh ya, this place can flood. Like you kept saying, I will drain the swamp, well I may just help you...Thankyou Jerry and Penny for the many good years of memories.

BEWARE OF THIS PARK!
The first review on here (5 stars) is from Rowland Carey who is the owner of this park. The pictures they show are of their own trailer when they first moved it in to that spot. Doesn’t look anywhere near as nice now. (It looks like he has removed his 5 star review now.) They have been running the park for 2 years now and since they took the management over it has been nothing but stress for the campers. My husband and I camped here for 10 years when it was run by the old manager Jerry. We left because we had bought some property and decided to give up our seasonal spot. The next year the owners (Rowland and Patty) came in and decided they were ready to run the park. We still visit our longtime friends that we made there quite often. Several of the campers have been there 10-20 years and are now all vacating because of the new owners. There were also brand new campers there this year and they are all leaving. He also speaks of tent camping…the tenters that he has brought in were put on someone’s lot that wasn’t there, and in another instance they were put on the property line of two sites. When the owner was asked what she thought the lot owners would think, she said she didn’t care.
Here are a few things to know:
Read your contract carefully before you give them any money. The contract I saw for next year states that under no circumstances are you to use your air conditioning or your fan. No exceptions.
They will say you have 30 amp service, but that is impossible as they only have a 200 amp box and approximately 17 trailers. Do the math on that one. Every camper blows breakers when they have two things on at once.
I would ask for proof of water, because I don’t believe they have access to the water supply any longer. They also have no access to the septic tank, so make sure to ask how that is handled.

Good luck and I would look for another park!

Gave 1 star because you can't give zero.

Do not choose this park!!!!!
This park is different from what you would expect. I have been there for only one season and wanted to leave. The owners yell at people, threaten people, call people names, accuse people of stealing hydro, and you are not allowed to run your ac or fans on your trailer. Even if you pay the extra for the hydro. They send nasty emails or texts and threaten to shut off your hydro to your trailer. It's like a prison, not a family place. The water pressure was not good and did not belong to them. It belongs to the farmer beside them. They say you have 30 amp service. Well, you don't. You can only run 2 things at once without blowing a breaker or fuse.
They need sewer like they stated. It also belongs to the farmer. They will look you straight in the eye and lie to you. They told me there would be bathrooms and showers, but the porta-potty was the only thing. They are so gross even the guys won't use them. They go beside it.
They also take plants from other sites to plant on their own.
The contract I saw for next year states that you should not use your air conditioning or fan. No exceptions.
They will say you have 30 amp service, but that is impossible as they only have a 200 amp box and about 17 to 18 trailers. I'm not an electrician, but it doesn't sound right.
They raised the price from $3000 to $3600 at my site. And for $300 for the boat, I had to build my own dock because they didn't have any. They say they are a marina. They don't even have a boat launch.
They made promises and never kept them.
They charged someone $500 to lay their own gravel because they were always flooding in their yard.
The contract also stated that you were not to contact the Kettle Creek authorities or would be kicked out of the park. I was looking for a long-term stay, but after one season, that was enough for me.
This park is not for anyone. Read the contract before you give them anything.
There were people there for over 20 years, and they also pulled out of the park, which needed to be corrected.
They are not as good people as I thought they were. It would be different if they would not start fights or drama in the park, make promises they don't keep, or start wars with people.
Do not believe what they say. You will be disappointed.
If you decide to stay at this park, good luck.
