My friend and I visited the store a few months ago, and my friend recently left a review about our experience. The store owner, Sarah, was the person we overheard speaking down to the employees. We knew she was the owner because one of the employees mentioned it, and she also introduced herself to us.

If the owner’s response to my friend’s review suggests that our version of 'being pushy' is simply their way of assisting and styling clients, then the staff should reconsider their approach. They need to evaluate their methods to properly determine what suits a client, instead of showing us items that clearly didn’t complement our colouring, frame, or height. Repeatedly suggesting pieces that were clearly unsuitable and insisting they would look “cute” or “perfect” on us demonstrates poor training.

Nice clothes but the sales associates are pushy and act very fake. However we don't blame them since we overheard the owner of the store being very disrespectful to the workers and pressuring the workers to aggressively push products onto customers.

ETA: finally got to shop here and I had an amazing experience, the service is fantastic, the clothes are really nice and a good variety, and the prices are pretty good, there's a range of brands of everyday and more higher end.

Glad to see a contemporary clothing store come in to fill the gap that the previous store left! Lots of nice brands, good for different age groups, and varying prices to fit all budgets. Brands are on the more eco-friendly side as well with quality materials featured in the pieces. Will definitely be shopping here in the future!

I had a wonderful time at La Muse, the attendants were fun and kind, and made me feel welcome. Everything they helped me pick out looked amazing, and they were extremely kind to my children as well! I'm definitely going there more often.

I moved into the neighbourhood a year ago and I discovered this amazing boutique. The staff are wonderful and very helpful. I love there different styles of clothing. My mom and I were eager to explore the boutique after hearing glowing recommendations from our family friends. Upon entering, we were pleasantly greeted by the staff, setting a positive tone for our visit. However, what initially seemed like exceptional customer service quickly turned into an overwhelming and pushy experience.

We made it clear that we were browsing and only needed assistance if necessary. Unfortunately, the sales associates seemed to ignore our request, bombarding us every five minutes with unsolicited recommendations that did not align with our preferences. While their intentions might have been well-meaning, the constant interruptions became increasingly bothersome.

As we moved to the changing rooms, the store owner approached us and struck up a conversation. Initially, she appeared friendly, but it soon became evident that she was primarily interested in pushing us to make multiple purchases. She repeatedly brought more items for us to try on, despite our clear indications that we wouldn't be buying everything. This excessive pushiness made the whole experience overwhelming and uncomfortable.

When I finally put my foot down and declined further try-ons, I observed the store owner expressing irritation with us. She exchanged glances with an employee, making it evident that she was displeased with our decision not to buy more.

During my mom's try-on, another customer entered the store. Shockingly, the store owner shifted her attention entirely to the newcomer, employing the same relentless sales tactics that she had used on us earlier. This lack of consistency and attention to existing customers was disheartening and left us feeling undervalued.

Despite the initial warm welcome and the fact that we did find a few items we liked, the overall experience at the boutique was marred by excessive pushiness from the staff, particularly the store owner. We left feeling somewhat disillusioned and uncertain if we would return.

While the boutique may offer a range of beautiful clothing, they should focus on striking a balance between being attentive to customers' needs and respecting their boundaries. Pushing customers to make more purchases can leave a negative impression, potentially driving them away and overshadowing any positive aspects of the store.

Sarah, Laura and Becky are beyond attentive! I cannot remember the last time I walked into a store and was so taken care of. They pick outfits, they match accessories, they listen. They gently nudge you out of your comfort zone - which is the absolute best! Their eye for bringing whole outfits together is impressive. It is quite honestly one of the best stores with beautiful and interesting clothes. If you have not been… go!
