Nous allions d'habitude chez ce dépanneur mais aujourd'hui, un incident s'est déroulé. Mon fils de 12 ans était avec moi, il regardait les quelques cubes rubix alors que je regardais les magazines. Moins de 10 secondes se sont passées quand le propriétaire (un homme âgé) l'interpelle: are you here to buy or to play? I'm working here. Dit-il en lui faisant comprendre de bouger et sur un ton très rude.

Je suis intervenue pour demander quel était le problème. Il a juste répondu sur un ton arrogant I'm working here.

On parle de moins de 10 secondes après s'être mis devant la section en question.

Si mon fils le gênait, un "sorry do you mind to move a bit further" aurait été bien

On ne nous a jamais parlé ainsi depuis que l'on habite dans ce quartier. Je n'y retournerai plus.

Every month, I faithfully come to this shop for my variety puzzle magazine. I give them 2 stars for always reliably having new issues. But regardless of the fact that I’ve been a regular for 5 years, the woman always chastises me for looking through the magazine before choosing. There are often 4 to choose from and I want the one that has the most of my favourite puzzles.
Today I wanted a home design magazine. There are many options there! I love this. But I was looking for something specific and needed to look in the magazines in order to choose the right one.
She said: No reading!
I said: How am I supposed to make a choice without looking at them?

You can try on clothes in a clothing store.
You can browse through books in a book store.
You can examine produce in a grocery store.
You can smell flowers in a flower shop.
You can lie on a mattress in a mattress store. All these things help you make a choice when shopping.

So, this hostile rule they have is just rude. Don’t sell magazines if you don’t want people to open them before buying.
They want you in and out of the store as fast as possible. That’s not the shopping culture of Montreal. This is a sociable city.

I can go elsewhere for my puzzle books and magazines.

It was my first to go to this place to l refill my Opus card. I usually do it in the metro station (or a Pharmaprix) but since it’s very conveniently right next to the bus stop and I’m not sure if I had any tickets left, I decided to get one here.
The middle-aged man cashier asked, “debit or credit?”.
I said, “credit please”
He then arrogantly and condescendingly said “CASH OR DEBIT ONLY! See?” as he pointed to a small handwritten note on the STM Opus Fares sign (that was NOT facing the customer, by the way).
I just replied, “Sorry, I did not see.”
He didn’t answer back but was just scowling at me.
So Mr. Cashier, next time don’t ask “debit or credit?” - if YOU KNOW it’s only cash or debit?
And it won’t hurt if you’re nice to customers.

Just went in for coffee creamer and said I would pay by debit, but my Visa card tapped instead by mistake. The lady working said I needed to buy something else because she didn’t want to pay the credit card fee for a 3$ purchase. I said I didn’t need anything else and she fought me on in so I bought a pack of gum with cash so she would stop berating me. Not the way to treat customers. Avoid going here.

Very terrible service. Visited this dep to buy a map as I’m from out of town. The lady came up and took the map from my hand and assaulted me in physically.

This dep has always been exactly what it was intended to be - convenient. I hope it survives the virus and wish the owners wealth and health.
