Great PYO strawberries and customer service. Everything was very well organized from the parking to the actual cash out. We visited for the first time. Came from the Peel region which used to have many lovely strawberry-picking patches. Unfortunately, thanks to development, we no longer have sustainable living unless you shop at large grocery stores that support USA-grown produce.

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Rude and Unwelcoming Staff

We went strawberry picking expecting a fun and relaxing Sunday, but unfortunately, it turned out to be the complete opposite. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly rude, unprofessional, and unwelcoming. There were no clear signs telling us where to enter, and the entire environment felt tense and uncomfortable.

Staff were constantly watching us and repeatedly told us not to pick strawberries from certain areas - often contradicting each other. At one point, a staff member directed us to a specific area with very small, low-quality strawberries. When we moved slightly further down the same row to find better ones, another staff member abruptly told us our basket was full and claimed we weren’t supposed to be in that part of the field to begin with. When I explained we were told otherwise, they rudely insisted they had given the instructions and dismissed what I said.

It felt like we were being treated like criminals for simply trying to enjoy the experience. There was zero hospitality, no clear guidance, and definitely no warmth. Their attitude was so off-putting that we ended up leaving early.

I absolutely do not recommend this place. Creepy, tense, and completely unprofessional. Save your time and money.

Very disappointed. Me and my family went here today for strawberry picking. The lady who sold the containers were very polite and nice. After waiting to for almost 30-40 minutes we got in and went to pick the strawberries and then this lady called and said that we have to move to a different area to pick the strawberries and I asked her are we not allowed to pick in that area because I did not see a sign anywhere but still that’s okay. I moved. She kept on telling my mom and sisters continuously to not go there, not go here and then she have put a flag on the ground and have told them not to move from that area which I think is RIDICULOUS because they were only allowed to pick strawberries like 20 meters distance. We all went there to enjoy strawberry picking but this RIDICULOUS women destroyed our peace and mood. I had to be patient because I did not wanted to make a scene. After we were done I went to her and asked her name and she said she’s Geesu (not sure how to spell that name but she was carrying an umbrella, old looking lady) If you have rules please do post in the website, say it when you enter or put signs.people are paying for every single strawberry we pick and the container.People are coming to enjoy that time. You should not be doing that. This is our first time here and the last time. We would not be recommending this place to ANYONE at all. Strawberries are not the best it tastes sour and a watery mix taste but still we would say that’s okay but what that lady did was not acceptable. Because of her I can not even give 2 stars.

Had a great time at Lindley's Farm with my little one. We came during Thanksgiving weekend for the pumpkin patch. Admission was 13.00 per person and you get one pumpkin per ticket. I was surprised to see that it wasn't busy. Lots of pumpkins to choose from.

I also stopped by the market and picked up an apple crumble. I think it just wasn't my cup of tea. The filling was really sour and there wasn't enough crumble. It cost 18.99. Wouldn't recommend it.

Avoid this farm ! There are better out there. They will keep herding you like cattle to only pick from a little area. Cant move around they keep annoying you with directions. Very rude staff. If you want to have a good time this is not the place

The farm is beautiful, and staff are very friendly. Strawberries were abundant, but seemed to go bad within an hour of picking them. $24 for a plastic reusable 6 quart basket. What happened to the old wooden baskets that don’t clog our watersheds?

Cute farm and market in Ancaster! I would definitely recommend visiting during the fall season in September and October to get the most of your trip - lots of fall fun activities and treat produce in the farm market.

We went there last weekend. The picking was open till 1 and we reached there at 12:30. Rushed towards the picking spot. Strawberry picking was done for this season, only had raspberry. There wasn’t that much people in the picking area, may be most came early morning. The market was open though but they were limiting the number of people(6) allowed inside at a time. Found some very fresh fruits and vegetables there. It was a nice experience overall.
