The team was professional, communicative, and clearly experts in their field. What truly impressed us was the affordable price we were quoted and the excellent value we received for our investment. Our new metal roof looks fantastic and we have peace of mind knowing it's built to last. Horrible customer service when it comes to the so-called 55-year warranty.

We have a complex roofline with particularly problematic corner that was supposed to be addressed with a metal roof. I have a valley in the south-east corner that sits in the shade of the neighboring house. We had problem with snow melting in the sunny parts and freezing the shaded corner. This was discussed in great detail with the installer. EcoMetal still has a promotional video online where I am talking about their roof as a solution to my ice-problems in that corner.
Turns out, it was not the solution the way it was installed. My roof was installed 8 years ago. It looks beautiful and we are generally very happy. The installation went really well and professional. We then had ice problems again a few years ago. The service crew removed the ice and identified the problem but never fixed it (despite multiple follow-ups on my end). The way the corner was designed did not leave a proper outflow and instead channeled the water under the metal, over the old shingles into the gutter. The flow to the gutter easily blocked by ice. We had a few mild winters with no problems, but a massive ice issue again this year. Water came into the house, through the ceiling, wall, insulation, floor, all the way to the basement.
Dealing with the service was a nightmare. I understand that it was a busy time with many ice and snow related issues, but there are not many things more stressful for a homeowner than water entering the house. Scheduling was chaotic, the person I talked to on the phone thought I was someone else resulting in me losing a day of work while waiting for the service team to arrive, etc. The ice was eventually removed and the fix that should have made years ago was finally implemented. My roof looks less sleek now, but hopefully the new ‘design’ will stop water from being trapped and pushed under the roof. As part of the 55-year warranty I expected the damage caused by the faulty installation to be fixed. I tried to arrange for an assessment and fix of the damage caused to the interior of my house. I was stalled and stalled, advised that my file had to be reviewed first, then being referred from one of the owners to other, with the one who was supposed to handle the situation never being available, etc. A similar stalling strategy that led to the problem not being fixed years ago. To add insult to injury the last communication I received was a voicemail asking for my addresses (?) so they could send me an invoice for the work they did to the roof.
I was at a loss of word for a while. The 55-year warranty gave me piece-of-mind when opting for a costly metal roof and I am sure it is a big selling feature for many other homeowners. However, based on my experience with London Eco Metal I would not recommend the company to anyone.

On the negatives
- [ ] Had several issues that I think could have been avoided with some care and/or additional oversight
- [ ] Need to have training on caulking
- [ ] Contracted out, so what you see on one house may not be the way that your roofer will do it

Tips:
Remember the sales rep is a sales rep, so ‘you”ll get our best roofers , means you’ll get the next ones available”
Any areas of roofing that are small or unusual, discuss these ahead of time and how they plan to do them and have that agreed in the plan. Remember it is metal and they use set pieces and different roofers might do it a different way to what you have seen or envisage.

As stated at the start overall for the most part we were very pleased with the look of our new roof and have received compliments from neighbours. Hopefully we will not have any issues to ever need to test the after service or the warranty.

Supplies showed up immediately after booking but there was a delay for installation because of the weather. Communication could've been better. That is my only complaint.
Crew were very professional. We've had our roof for over 6 months now and our bills have improved drastically! Our second floor is much more comfortable in the winter and summer months.
Would've liked to keep the extra sheets of roof we paid for, but I assume they took them to clean up after the job was done.
Would hire again and definitely recommend!

We were very pleased with the product and service London Eco Metal provided. The salesperson was quick to respond and worked with us to schedule an appointment. He brought large samples and explained the installation process. He provided a quote which was less than the cost to have my two layers of shingles removed, new sheathing installed over the old planks and a layer of shingles added.

The installers came when scheduled, were friendly, completed the job very professionally and cleaned up before leaving. People passing by have stopped to comment on how nice it looks. We will definitely be recommending them.

Material was in our driveway 2 days after agreeing on the very reasonable quote and the workers were on the roof that day.
