Ehh. It’s a typical chain grocery store, one of the only ones in the area. Agree that staff could be a bit nicer, and not much selection for a lot of products. Also, prices have gone WAYY up - $10 for blueberries is insane, even if they are “jumbo”. I remember this exact box was half the price at $4.99 a couple months ago. Crazy markup

Side note - also be aware this location will always be swarming with teenagers from the nearby highschool during the school year at lunch hour, so prepare your shop wisely.

I recently purchased a berry tart from Longo's at the Leslie and York Mills location in North York, Toronto, and was extremely disappointed with the quality. Upon bringing it home, I discovered that many of the berries were covered in mold, concealed beneath the icing, making it impossible to notice initially.

This experience raised serious concerns about the store’s commitment to food safety and quality control. The fact that moldy berries were sold suggests negligence on the part of the employees responsible for preparing or inspecting food products before they reach customers. For a store as reputable as Longo's, I would expect higher standards and more careful attention to food safety.

I personally like the Longo’s chain very much. This branch is a great grocery store, shelves fill up quickly and discount items are always there. Fresh fruits and vegetables, fresh proteins, bakery, high quality hot fresh food, fresh flowers, variety of coffee beans and powder and especially fresh natural orange juice which is located near the entrance door. Also, there are various stores in the neighborhood of Longo’s in the same plaza, which makes shopping there more attractive.

Ordered a pizza, was told it would take 20-25 min but was ready in 15 and made to perfection. Massive selection of hot takeout among many options for takeaway lunches. Plenty of seating available too. Friendly staff. Bathrooms at the back wall by meat department.

It’s interesting reading negative reviews because I’ve been shopping at this location for many years, but I noticed the in-store experience getting worse and worse. This store used to have such a sense of community - I walked in knowing various staff members and they would greet regular customers by name. I agree with another reviewer, I noticed after COVID the experience has gotten much worse. I had a particularly negative run-in with a manager named Heba recently. I wanted to report the incident, but she was so rude I just decided to get out of there as quickly as possible. I remember when cashiers, general staff, samplers, butchers, management used to be so friendly but it’s such a different environment shopping now with no customer service.

Why shop here with no customer service when they charge so much more than other grocery stores?

It’s funny - all their responses to negative reviews say they will share with management, yet there won’t be improvement in store when management doesn’t care about their customers.

It is quite disconcerting to encounter poor customer service. The lack of politeness and cordiality from some service representatives is troubling. During a recent transaction where I requested cash back, I was met with a demeanor that suggested extreme displeasure. The cashier's lack of manners and generally rude attitude were especially unpleasant to deal with early in the morning. This kind of interaction is highly unprofessional and detracts from the overall customer experience. I miss good customer service in general.

Lack of customer service in flower section. Elderly women with short hair, she was extremely rude and overtly racist. Like can’t we even take a look at what we’re buying? Also I looked only 2,3 flowers. The flowers were for my sister’s graduation. I ended up leaving cause I didn’t want to have any arguments.
I hope management addresses the issue to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment for everyone.
