I booked a room to get ready for my wedding (we were otherwise camping). The king suite with a balcony - and it was perfect. The staff were incredibly accommodating and both the room and the lobby were beautiful for our pictures.
Many of our guests who stayed were also very happy with the lobby as it was well set up but quiet so a great place to meet up with everyone, play cards, have a drink, etc.

FYI when you arrive to the hotel, you check in at another hotel down the block. There is no one working at the Midnight Sun desk.

The location was nice because every thing was within walking distance. However, I’d suggest booking a hotel that isn’t around the local bars. Each night during our stay, Monday- Friday, people from the bar would be yelling/screaming/singing up and down the road or outside our window. Not ideal if you or your children are easily woken.

Our hotel rooms shower didn’t drain until you were done your shower. Not sure how often the shower curtains are changed but if they aren’t, then you’re standing in previous peoples germ water. Our bathroom didn’t have a fan, and our window didn’t open, so the room was very humid.

The beds are perfect if it is just you alone, 2 people for the queen is not ideal. The edges of the bed curve down, so you’re both sleeping in the middle, shoulder-shoulder.

If you are looking for luxury in Dawson City - you won't really get it. But the Midnight Sun Hotel will offer clean, comfortable, warm rooms with an old world charm thrown in. ||The town by itself is tiny and any hotel you choose will be walkable to anywhere you need to go and this one ticks that box as well. The stairs are steep though and you need to be careful of that since you will need to haul your luggage up. ||All in all this hotel is a great place for a short stay and in any case you will want to spend most of your time outdoors in this beautiful little corner of the world, completely lost in time.

What a lovely room! Super comfortable bed and pillows, nice facilities, easy check-in - almost perfect, except that they have Nespresso machines in the room rather than a regular coffee maker/kettle - as one of us drinks tea in the morning, and the other a large cup of coffee, that was disappointing, but definitely not a deal breaker. Check in is at the hotel around the corner - the Downtown Hotel (same company), and the room card opens the door to the lobby. Lovely seating area in the lobby/common area. We were only there for one night, and we arrived later in the evening so didn’t really get to enjoy what the hotel offers. It is central to the main attractions that you may want to do - Diamond Tooth Gertie’s and the Sourdough Saloon (which is actually in the hotel that you check into). 100% would recommend this to anyone.

It's a great place with lots of character. There are darkening blinds but they don't keep all the light out.

Very nice room with a comfortable bed, nice bathroom and shower, and friendly staff. The decor inside the lobby is very, very nice … sets a great mood while staying jn town. Will definitely stay here again!

Renovated building with window air conditioners, but tasteful details like quality beds, modern bathroom,small fridge and microwave oven, and connectivity for charging devices. WiFi available but ours was on the weak side. 40 inch Samsung flat TV worked well. This stop is part of our tour and is passably pleasing but certainly not luxurious or exceptional. Dawson City is a relic of a once thriving mining town in the Klondike. Loudly painted exteriors try to lift the stale mojo that permeates the town, where 20 hour nighttime days alternate with 20 hour daylight days, depending on the time of the year. June 29 is a very long daylight day.

Beautiful remodelled charming hotel. Clean and quiet. Front desk staff were wonderful. You check in at another hotel to get your room key.There is a lot of stairs here with no elevator. There is no breakfast included
