This shop was a delight to discover in the small town of Millbrook. Chock full of unique items such as clothing, jewellery, purses, soaps, ceramics and housewares. In the back there’s a well stocked cheese counter and surrounding that were other well curated choices for food lovers. The staff were lovely and friendly.

We love the selection of cheeses and make it a family outing to each choose a few slices of different kinds and have fancy grilled cheese on a weekend! Purchased the Cheese of the Month club for my parents as a Christmas gift and they LOVED everything about it! If you love cheese, this is the place to visit! ?

Highly recommend! Dining at the Millbrook Merchantile was well worth the trip from Toronto. Food was simply divine! We gorged on their mussels special (they should bottle that broth!!), and our companions enjoyed their Autumn Turkey grilled sandwich and salads. Everything was fresh, prepared with skilled hands, and the service was impeccable. We left towing their in-store made bison chili, cassoulet, and seafood chowder to enjoy at home. Millbrook Mercantile deserves all their awards and accolades -- my husband and I will definitely return.

Beautiful friendly inviting town and a gem of an eclectic bazaar of fine offerings from an amazing selection of cheese to clothing an art. Worth the visit to Millbrook just to visit this store!!! Exquisite food along with lovely wares of all kinds.
We cannot say enough about this place so we will bring mention to the heart of the store, the owners and employees. We were meandering it seems everywhere aimlessly until we found this unassuming yet brilliant town. The gentleman behind the counter overheard us discussing our next destination and he offered up information that only insiders from the town would know. We discovered the town has a vibrant theatre community and turn of the century short term rentals and B&B’s including fantastic restaurants sure to please the most discerning pallet. This gentleman went above and beyond to take the time to share his amazing town and offered advise on where to find ourselves next. We will return and share our experience with everyone we know.

FABULOUS! 10/10 for service, product and all around experience. Lance and Bernadette are wonderful - it feels like we've known them forever! Their catering elevates your function to the next level. The backyard oyster bar was a massive hit. The charcuterie was exceptional - delicious and unique, and looked like they'd been plucked from the pages of a magazine. And on top of the incredible food, just as people, they added so much to our event. A delight to work with! Highly recommend!

The Millbrook Mercantile is a stellar little place that boasts a wide selection of well curated items from their cheese and deli meat selection, to their spices and home decor options they have the all the top options available. The staff are warm, welcoming and knowledgable. A must do is the COTMC - Cheese of the Month Club. Our family is always excited to pick up the beautifully packaged COTMC box and sample all the treasures within. It's a great way to try different cheeses and food pairings. Another highlight is dining on their licensed patio in the summer months or grabbing a mouth watering sandwich to go is always an option too. Support local and don't miss out on this gem of a place!

If I could give zero, I would. My wife and her service dog were refused entry into the cheese section today. We have visited many other times, with her service dog, and have never had any issues till today.

The rude man at the cash register said the health department does not allow service dogs into their cheese/ deli section, even though everything is in a closed freezer. I have never heard this before as we have been there before and she also takes her service dog everywhere, including groceries, restaurants, etc and never had any issues. He embarrassed my wife in front of other customers when she said she takes her service dog into restaurants so he raised his voice and said “well, do you take him into the kitchen; can leave the dog by the cash and you can go look.” If the man was the actual store owner, you should be ashamed of yourself. You clearly discriminated and embarrassed a person with disability who requires the use of a service dog. We used to look forward to coming here for our cheeses but after today’s incident, we will never come back. I will also be contacting the health department myself to see if what the man said was legal, as this is not supported under the Disabilities Act. DO NOT SUPPORT A BUSINESS THAT DISCRIMINATES AGAINST DISABLED PEOPLE. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

We absolutely love the Cheese of the Month Club. A great box of goodies every month with 2 selected cheeses and all sorts of goodies. We always make a fun picnic out of it with a nice bottle of Rose ;).

We are excited for our Month 5: A Roth Dairy's Buttermilk Blue, and they tell us that even if we don't typically like blues (my husband) we might enjoy this one as the tanginess of the buttermilk makes the blue notes pop. The second cheese is a glorious 9 year old aged white British style cheddar (his favourite).

Always different goodies in the box with the cheeses and this month, we can expect a cranberry pear & honey jam, green Sicilian Casteveltrano olives, 38 Degree gourmet crackers, and some mixed assorted nuts. Can't wait to pick up. Brings us great joy and also love browsing in the store.
