Had a great experience with this business. I’ve got 90 birds in two different batches and haven’t lost one. Only issue so far has been one chick with what appeared to be aspergillosis, but we managed to save her with a lot of care. Each time I’ve ordered I have been contacted to see if I wanted an earlier shipment and their customer care has been great. 8 weeks in and smooth sailing.

I received 2 emails stating that my chicks arrival date was Monday March 3, 2025. I took time out of my day to go pick them up in the morning and they were not there. I called the customer service desk and they looked into it and then I got another email with my arrival date changed to the next day. I called the service desk to confirm pick up date had been changed and voice the fact that I had taken time off to go pick up my chicks as I was told they were to arrive Monday. The lady at the customer service line was unprofessional and told me that they don't ship Mondays and that I did not get an email. I emailed them the proof and was told that it was a computer error and nothing more. While they do not need to compensate me for my lost time, it was THEIR website that I ordered from and made the error. At minimum I would expect the individual to understand why I might be upset, rather than call me a liar!

Great company!!! I have ordered chicks many times over and have been happy every time. If I do have little issues I call in and the staff have been very lovely to deal with! I highly recommend them!

I’m writing this review and giving millers 5/5 after my latest order of 32 brown chicks, most of whom died

These are living animals that we are dealing with, these guys don’t sell ice cream and we have to be fair to the hatchery 
 things can and do go wrong when you are dealing with animals. I’ve ordered from these guys three times total. First two orders, they send me one extra chick, everybody survived and I was super happy

Last order I guess the chicks were chilled on the way over or I didn’t keep them warm enough the first few hours 
 and they start falling like leaves

I won’t give these guys a bad review for something they have no control over. Each time I call them I have been getting respect and useful information.

 and guys, some your reviews are incredibly childish, I hope you reconsider. like the one that says “ordered from them for years, no issues but last order didn’t go to plan 1 star” so, years of good service no kudos but 1 year of things going wrong gets them a Shyte review? How’s that fair?

Update June 30th, 2024
My fourth and latest order from the hatchery: around 40 brown chicks, they sent me 3 extra, everyone survived, they are a month old now and 100% healthy.

Update March 22nd, 2025
Last order : 50 brown pullets. They send me 2 extra. 2 died around day 10. They are about 3 weeks old now (I blew up two heating lamps in 7 days , but thankfully i realized in time before they got too cold)

I’m based in South Calgary area and have ordered from this hatchery several times since 2020

I was going through the reviews and I have to say folks, I sniff bullshit. I think someone is review-bombing these guys

I never had any issues
Ordered Plymouth bard rocks, Cornish and miller browns, they always send one or two extra and they are always on the phone when I need them

If you are in the chicken business, these guys are the real deal. If you have some “politics” I don’t know about, then I don’t know what to say

Terrible customer service! I had to re-schedule an order which I did over the phone. The re-scheduling was confirmed and I chose a new hatch date for a few months later. A week later I got a call from the post office to pick up the chicks! Because I did not have a brooder set up and ready (and because miller has poor genetics) I lost over 20% of the birds in the first 2 weeks. I called costumer service and they refused to do anything about it. They referred me to their manager who would not return my calls. Finally they refunded me for 10 chicks. What a joke! This is not a good small family business! They are internationally owned and they are terrible! Do not purchase anything from this company! This is not my first bad experience with this company.
