I’ve shopped at Mind Games several times, both in-store and online, and it’s always been a solid experience. They carry a huge selection of board games, puzzles, card games, brain teasers, and novelty gifts. Whether you’re into strategy games, party games, or collectibles, they pretty much have something for every age and interest.

The staff is usually friendly and knowledgeable, especially if you visit in person. I’ve had them recommend some great games I wouldn’t have picked otherwise. Prices are reasonable — not always the cheapest compared to online giants, but they often have sales and loyalty perks.

Overall, it’s a fun place to browse, and I like supporting a Canadian retailer with a real presence in malls and communities. I especially like that assistant manager. He makes the store the place to be.

Rude and immature customer service. The floor person took away the chess set box from my hands after assuming I had opened the box. It was already opened. The same with the unidentified box on the shelf underneath. She removed that from the shelf as well and huffed off. “It’s just a chess set” she said “you don’t need to see it.” I went across to a far better store that is customer friendly and spent $365 there for the presents I was looking for. Will not be back.

Incredibly rude management. Purchased a game that scanned in higher then price on box. Went back a couple days later to ask about it and was immediately met with the rude and combative manager. Experiance was shocking as we were not upset but the manager instantly escilated as though we were. We both work in customer service and understand how people can be.

Upper management must be desperate for a manager if that is what they will keep employed. A personal improvement plan would be benifical for her in my opinion. Employees should also be trained to update price stickers as prices change, not just leave inventory mislabeled as I'm sure based on this experiance it leads to many conflicts for the team.

Absolutely rude customer service. My son & spouse went there today to try to use my son's mall gift cards he got for Christmas. The lady working had a huge attitude & issue with using them. Spit out some nonsense that made absolutely no sense & my spouse uncomfortable with using them. This store is on the acceptable list of stores that use the OC gift cards. Must of been too much work for her! They left empty handed. We were loyal customers but after today, we will never return! The OC customer service will be contacted as well as head office. This is not over! This lady made my son very upset & he still doesn't understand why he couldn't use his mall gift cards there to buy Lego!!

As the pokemon fever continues, we have awful stores scalping product at crazy prices. The lady working at the oshawa centee store looked at me crazy when i called them out for selling 151 booster bundles for 180 dollars... then tried to justify it and selling the prismatic SPC for 400. Do not shop here for pokemon or board games. Go anywhere else.

A relatively small shop.. But they have large selection of games and toys. They have, as the name ofvthe store indicate, mind games.... And scirntific games.. They have science illustrating items... Cool things actually. The prices are normal.. Not cheap.. But also not expensive. Customer service is good. I passed through the store number of times and I was always asked if I need some help.... Not in a creepy way.. But in a friendly wsy.
They have things for different ages... so I think it is a good place to stop ehen searching for gifts.. If you like this type of gifts.

A Geeks paradise! Two part store starting with my favorite part. Cool collection and variations of knives, (functional and decorative ones) swords, and axes, big and small, yes they're All real steel! Other neat items include every board game you can think of, with some obscure versions you may never even knew existed. Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, yup they've got piles of starter and booster packs, and every die and dice you can think of. And the Bicycle playing card section. Wow! at least 50+ different variations of decks. From space themed, artistic designs, dragons, 007, mythical beasts and many more.

The 2nd side of the store is a monster collection of mostly Pop figures, children's toys, and other indoor/outdoor fun and games.
