I had a terrible experience at Bible’s Mission in Oshawa and feel the need to warn others. We purchased a dresser, and right after paying—before even leaving the store—we realized it was broken. The glass came apart, and one of the wheels fell off. The cashier and other customers saw what happened, yet the store refused to help in any way.

I asked for either an exchange or a refund, as the damage was clearly there before we even took the item out of the store. Their response? “All sales are final, this is a thrift store.” I understand if I had left and come back later, but refusing to acknowledge a broken item before it even exits the store is completely unacceptable.

This place sells broken furniture and takes zero responsibility for it. Their lack of customer service and refusal to accommodate in a clear-cut situation like this is appalling. Avoid this store unless you’re willing to risk buying damaged items with no recourse.

Edit: April 1st – The manager, Dan, personally reached out to me after my experience, apologized, and took accountability. While the store initially refused to make it right, he recognized that it was the wrong decision and personally stepped in to correct the matter. He was very helpful and resolved the issue—thanks, Dan! Because of this, I’ve updated my star rating.

Such an amazing place to spend your extra dollars. This charity store not only helps their community but is responsibility priced. I highly recommend when looking to replace something to try here 1st, 5 stars! And the staff are nice as well!!!!!

Best affordable place I recommend in Oshawa! Has the best prices, wonderful clothes and the kindest staff members (Shoutout to Ms Angel at the front desk) i wholeheartedly love this place and the people and clothes in it not even to gas it up too much it’s just really THAT place!

If you are looking for a great thrift experience this is the place !!There are 50 across Canada. The store was very well organized, clean The service was helpful and friendly( You can even get a rewards card. It is 5 points for every dollar spent and you redeem the pts for extra savings.)My friend, who loves dishes, picked up some lovely Italian bowls for a few dollars. Clothing is very reasonably priced and I got brand new STORMTECH pants for my husband for $6.25. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. Who knows what treasures you may discover at the Mission Thrift Store.

I’ve never purchased anything here but if I am going to donate things anywhere, it is ALWAYS here.If I know anyone that has things to donate, I always recommend they donate here. The staff has always been amazing when I drop donations off and have helped me with heavier items too. It’s always a pleasant time.

Went in today to get a winter comforter in almost just it’s was priced at $17.99 but yet can buy them
Brand new at Walmart for 19.99 so took it up to the cashier to see if they can do anything about the price I was told go away you cheap old man I was dumbfounded and walked out never going here again went to Walmart bought a brand new one thanx for nothing and I hope that cashier gets fired
