Shane and Tammy are awesome and so is there fly shop! When Wholesale Sports closed in Lethbridge I had to go to Calgary or online to get my fly fishing gear but no longer! Shane provides expert advise that is relevant to southern alberta fly anglers. Can't wait to go back soon!

Just got back from a great day on the Oldman River with Shane. I had not fly fished in probably 15 years and he was endlessly patient and supportive with me. He even fixed my aging rod before our day on the river. We were a group of three clients varying from novice (me) to very experienced, and Shane provided quality coaching for all of us so everyone learned something new. Best of all, we each caught some beautiful fish! Shane has infectious enthusiasm for all things fly fishing. The day flew by. His little shop also has all the flies you need to be successful in southern Albertan waters. 10/10 recommend!!!

I showed up at My Fly Guy with a very old rod and reel that I thought may be beyond redemption. Shane, however, showed them a little attention and now they are working just fine. As he was installing new line I found Shane as interesting a person as you could ever hope to meet. In addition, if there were such a thing as a fly fishing scholar, that would describe him. Between his personableness and his learnedness, I can understand why anyone would be glad to spend a day on a Southern Alberta river learning the art of fly fishing from him! Thank you for helping get me started Shane.

I'm an American university student who came up with a couple friends to fish in the Calgary area and the Oldman river. I called Tammy the day that we drove up to ask for suggestions on where to find free camping and not only did she give me recommendations on where to go, but she offered to get out the maps and show us where to go. At around 9:30pm, I received a call from her husband who was concerned about our safety since it was getting late and told us that we could text them when we arrived so that we could come into the shop the next morning. We came into the shop at around 8:30am and Tammy showed us good spots to fish, local tips for driving in the area, and even suggestions on what flies to use at what time of day. This little mom and pop shop is one of the best fishing shops I've ever come across. They've got a great selection of flies and equipment and her husband even does private tours. Couldn't recommend stopping by here enough, its exactly the kind of business you feel good about supporting. Outstanding customer service and a great business all around. Thank you very much!
