I have been trying to get an appointment with this place for the last 8 months. My car needs some work done, so it's a bit longer than the typical, but not that long. It's older, but it runs and drives.

I would call every month, starting from November 2024. Every time I call they say "call back next month." So I would. I would leave my contact information along with the make and model of my car. They always said "someone" would reach out to me to discuss what I needed that week. No one ever called me. When I called in April 2025, I spoke with one of the mechanics and they said they "would remember me" and that they would have a space for me in May. No one called me back despite them saying so.

When I called back in May, surprise, they still could not take me. They couldn't even give me an estimate of when they could. They still had "projects from last year," contradicting my previous conversation with the mechanic. If you still had projects from last year, why didn't you tell me this four or five months ago? It just sounds like you didn't want my business and instead of telling me that, you decide to waste my time? Especially since a lot of folks in my position need to get their cars serviced in the summer. If you have a car older than you are, you know how it is.

When I called in May, and the lady tried to verify my information, I finally realized that, not only did they get my phone number wrong, but they couldn't be bothered to write down and remember what my car's make and model was. The only thing they got right was the brand. Still I gave them another chance, left my information for the 8th time, and they said they would call me back on Thursday that week. Once again they didn't.

Giving them the benefit of the doubt, maybe it's my fault I didn't verify they had my number properly after, at least, 8 times giving it to them. Maybe it is my fault for trusting reviews that this was a great place. Maybe it is, I wouldn't know despite great effort trying. However, that doesn't excuse that you knew me, you never said you couldn't reach me, so I assume you never even tried. You also couldn't be bothered to tell me back in January that you couldn't take me in 2025.

How can you trust a shop that can't even be bothered to get the basics correct? You're going to trust them with a classic car?

I am sure you do great work, but if you're that busy, maybe you need to organize your front house a little bit better.

As it stands, I don't trust you, despite your great reviews.

Two years later and I wouldn't bring my vehicle anywhere else but here. Staff treat you like family and very satisfied with the work they do with my car. Highly recommended!

Recently, I scheduled an oil change for my 2017 Hyundai Elantra at this outlet and I was quoted a price of $145. I am a female senior who has been dealing with auto service people for about 57 years experiencing many different (positive & negative) service responses but when I shared that I felt the price was excessive I was told that that place was not a "drive through"... my response.. I knew that and that I had gotten a quote of $105. from another Napa Auto outlet for comparison. The response was that not all outlets charge the same prices (not sure why? and a difference of $40. was significant for a similar job - or at least I would think so). The points I have issue with here are.. 1. How disrespectfully I was spoken to regarding the "drive through" statement by the female receptionist (if I were a man...would that same approach/statement have been made?). 2. That a difference of $40. should be unquestionable by anyone dealing with a chain of auto repair businesses is a red flag for me. (Let me add that I have dealt with other Napa Auto Pro outlets throughout the Ottawa area... one in particular for over 15 years with fair pricing for excellent service.
I regretfully had to change due to a move). I cancelled my appointment and I would not recommend this outlet to anyone. If an oil change is $40 overpriced what else would be and by how much more?

Went to Clarmo to have my back window replaced after a baseball went clean through. They were kind, helpful and quick! I was given pictures of before and after the repair and it was all completed in 2 business days. Clarmo did some work on my almost 12 year old car about 6 weeks ago and reported that the tread on my all season tires was getting low. The numbers varied a little, consistent with normal tire wear and consistent with the age of the tires. The quality of these tires was not great, it’s wintertime, and with Clarmo’s assistance I researched several brands and bought a set. I can’t say if the price was anything special, but after the amount of effort they went into finding tires for me, I was not going to nit pick. Fair exchange is a two-way street.

The -15 degree day arrived to install the tires and, while arranging the appointment on the phone, they offered me several options for comfortably waiting out the time it would take to do the job. No matter what your preferences are in these interesting times of isolation and mandates, Clarmo works with you. There are many businesses around that could take a hint about treating ALL customers with respect these days.

They checked with me in advance about the price. I know from previous experience that they add in a bit for surprises, all good, game on. I drove off in the free loaner car to do other things and they called me back just about the estimated time the job was promised to be done. I took the offer of an emailed invoice, rather than a printed one. A business customer could easily have the invoice mailed directly to the bookkeeper.

On picking up my car, I was briefed about the mechanic’s inspection findings on it and a written report was included in the email. I knew about a burned out lightbulb, they checked for an oil change sticker, they checked the door sticker for correct tire pressure, reported that the new tires were inflated to that, and topped up the washer fluid. It looked like he did a load test on the battery, 80% good on a four year old part, which makes sense, and good to know in deep winter.

These inspections are a really good business tactic and really good customer service. You get your car looked over by someone who knows what to look for. They give you the inspection findings in writing and you can compare reports over time to get a sense of normal wear and tear on the vehicle. You can compare what they say against what you know or see for yourself. That paid off for both of us, as I was able to see it coming that my old tires were going to be a problem, and I was able to buy and install new ones with them at a time of my choosing.

As usual, the invoice price was lower than the quote. They could have taken the extra and I would not have known the difference. The note about "discounts applied" is not necessary for me.

My bottom line with Clarmo is this: They are professional, careful, they do good work, great communicators, respectful of all customers, and fair to both the customer and to self. I trust my car. Yes, I might be able to find a bit better price somewhere else and my experience is that discounters often doubt their own value.

These people are worth every cent. I will be back.

I recently had a complete conversion to electronic fuel injection for my 1976 Firebird Trans Am, in addition to a change over of my distributor and coil. The work was completed very professionally, very neatly (the car is detailed) and at a fair cost that was in line with the estimate. Jamie also had suggestions to address some previous minor issues; this work was an unexpected and welcome addition. I highly recommend performance work at Jamie’s shop.
