I went to this store on a whim when passing by and I have to say it's a great store with lots of interesting military and civilian items for sale on top of that the people terrific and the prices are fair you can't ask for better than that!

What an interesting store. I came in on a whim while in Oakville, because my partner and I have been discussing changing how we pack for air travel. With all the reports of chaos at airports we're considering going with only carry-on luggage. That got us thinking about backpacks and that had me coming to Oakville Outdoors & Surplus. Turned out to be an excellent choice. They have so many different backpacks to choose from. They also have great staff. The young gentleman working when I visited took the time to help identify the several different models of packs that would fit carry-on sizes. My only regret was that I only looked at backpacks. There is so much more to explore the next time.

Reducing stars and redoing my review. I stopped going for the prices about a year ago maybe more. I decided to try it again today. he scanned everything into The cash register which totaled $84. I offered him $65 cash which he said he would do but it's too late He's already scanned everything. He'd have to do a bunch of work to take it out of his system. Even though I still haven't paid yet. So I said what if I just don't buy it and come back in 20 minutes. he said well then I just wouldn't sell it to you. So I think that was my last visit. There are other places where I go to get the same stuff. Very unfortunate.

Hi great place to shop for many things. I usually purchase tanks tops here regularly. The shirt quality is very good. The price reasonable. They have soo much stuff. It's worth checking out if your in the area. It's in the plaza on speers & kerr st. There's a ski & snow boading store there.

My husband just bought a jacket here. He loves it. It's actually his 2nd jacket he's bought. There was a dog in the store so if you're scared beware, but he's beautiful and minded his own business. My daughter is 1 and was loving everything to look at. The employee was so nice and chill. He and my husband chatted for a good while about America (my husband is American) and gun laws, places they'd visited, things they'd seen. All around a great experience.

Historical relics and state of the art gear can be found here. Knowledgeable and helpful staff. Parking on site. The next camping trip is but a stone's throw away. Be prepared, notch a good portion of time on your calendar regularly, for a rip out to the local surplus shop!

Took my kids here to check things out a bit. My son is getting into airsoft so he wanted to find some gear and the more realistic the better it helps his simulation.

Stone items are fairly pricey but this is likely due to them being the real deal. I plan to buy a few pair of pants here if I can find the same style I did years ago but I haven't had a chance to return.

Definitely worth checking out even if just for curiosity's sake.

Staff doesn't bother you, they just let you do your thing, no pressure.
