This thrift store is truly a hidden gem! Beautifully decorated and unlike anything else you’ll find in Brantford, it offers a unique shopping experience. Their collection of antiques is absolutely incredible, filled with rare and fascinating treasures. Even if you’re not looking to buy, it’s well worth a visit just to explore the charm and character of this amazing store!

What a nostalgic visit! So fun looking through all the vintage finds and the staff (family run business) had so many great stories to share about the antiques. This is not my first visit and won’t be my last. On other visits I bought some vintage Pyrex and I just love them! It really is worth a drive and make sure you have time to explore all the great finds. Thank you Old World Marketplace…I’ll definitely be back!

GREEDY! My husband collects marbles. We asked if she had any. She said they had put them in a chinese checkers game. As he didn't want the game, my husband offered a lower price for just the marbles. She said she had to ask her mom/boss. We wandered through the store..it was ok but overpriced. Went to the counter, they were looking up all the marbles on the phone. When we asked if they'd accept the offer, they said they were just looking them up and asked if he was a marble expert. We decided they were just trying to jack up the price. He offered the full price as I walked away and said he didn't need them. She said he had an attitude and wouldn't give a yes or no on price. Blew the sale... we won't be back.

I had the chance to visit the Old World Marketplace, and what a joy this store was. I have flea marketed and antiqued all over Ontario and finding a treasure like this right marketplace right in our backyard was indeed a pleasure.

From the windows dressed with vintage suitcases and old wooden ladder I was transported back to wonderful memories as a child and as I got deeper and deeper into the store it was filled with colourful clothing, dishes, records, tables, dolls, books, linen, baskets, boxes, tools, and so much more. YOu have to see it to appreciate what the owner and her crew have created.

It was like a hug from your childhood.

The design, layout and presentation and of the marketplace was just fantastic! I went to close to closing time, and need to find time to go earlier to see through the entire marketplace.

I highly recommend you take the walk to the Old World Marketplace.

Visited shortly after the store opening and was very pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere. Responding to a previous review, I've not known of many places that allow food & drink in, especially when dealing with vintage and antique items. I'm sorry you had to deal with a customer's who was like that, and most of all, one who modeled that behaviour in front of his own impressionable child.
We will be back soon.
