It's okay!
I often make hour long trips to buy fish because my local pet store doesn't have a great selection.

A lot of different species of fish are mixed together, so often times they have nipped fins, etc. But, for the most part, my fish are always healthy, and they live.

They don't accept any form of card. Cash only! That's a real bummer sometimes.

Also, they're never open technically. The owner lives a couple of feet from the building, so you have to call, and he comes right over, but he will not see anyone after 5:30-6pm.

I bought 4 silver dollar fish for $115. I should have had a closer look at them before the owner bagged them up, but after climatizing them to my 66G fish tank, I noticed that they all had large patches of white on thier bodies. At first I thought it might have been just their coloring, but then I could tell that the edges of the white stuff was raised and not just their color. Now fearing this is ick, I went to a different store to buy what I needed to treat it. None of the fish were doing well straight out of the bag, one was getting stuck to the filter and one seeming unable to swim straight up. 12 hours after purchase, one fish died. 24 hours after purchase 3 died. I called the owner today to express my concerns that the tank they came out of has some sort of fungal or ick brake out. He just told me that his tanks are fine, that it sounds like they got ick from the time they left his store to the time they got into my tank & that he doesn't warranty ANYTHING he sells. My concerns fell of deaf ears. I am a long time fish hobbiest, worked at a reputable fish store for years & have never had this problem. Ick doesn't happen in an hour...all over the fishes body. I would never recommend buying anything from this store. Order it on line & take a chance there.

Super sketchy shop. Animals are overcrowded in small cages with no enrichment. Fish are mixed species in the same tank. Whole store is humid and smells like mold. The owner started going on unprompted about how he doesn't get his dogs vaccinated. 😬

Not sure if this is the same owners as it was in ~2006. My parents found a litter of kittens and kept one. When they brought the rest here to see if he'd like to sell them, he recommended they all be euthanized because they had worms. He said he would take care of it. As an adult now educated and trained in vet medicine, I'm horrified that kittens would be euthanized for an easily treatable condition. Also sir, it's ILLEGAL to euthanize animals if you are not a licensed veterinarian. I don't even want to think about how it was done. The littermate that my parents kept lived to be a healthy boy well into old age.

Most HORRIBLE experience I've had with the many animals I've owned over 30 years!
My dog was shaved, to his skin at some areas, ear, joints and other nics to get it REALLY SKINNED!!
SHAVED SNOUT, EYEBROWS, LEGS!
This was NOT THE PROPER GROOMING FOR A HAVANESE!!
PLEASE BEWARE!!!

I have a very problematic dog who hates everything about the grooming process. We took her to 5 different groomers and none of them were even willing to try with her because of how she thrashes.

Not only did they manage to get her groomed, but they made her look clean and cute while doing it. Will definitely be going back, they treated her wonderfully.

I am only giving 1 star because I couldn't give no stars. Purchased a gecko and everything needed for it from there over the phone. Was told he had everything I need. I drove 150kms to pick it up a week before Christmas as it was a Christmas gift for my daughter. When I got there the price was gone up almost $200. I should have left then but didn't want to disappoint my daughter as this was all she wanted for Christmas. The lamp he sold me was to small for the terrarium, when I complained he said that was the only one he had. The gecko died after 2 weeks. I called the store to see if they had any kind of policy to replace the gecko. I was rudely told that it was ok when it left here. I will never purchase anything else from them and I recommend you don't either.
