We were staying at a local campground and found this local restaurant. We didn't know one place from another so we decided to check this one out. The server was very nice and attentive, constantly checking on us the food was very good (especially the pizza bread). They had a ton of menu items to choose from, all looked great. The cook came out to check on us after we were done to see how our meal was. I got the impression that this was a family business and they seemed to run it with care. I would definitely go back.

As a frequent traveler throughout Alberta, I make it a point to visit Smoky Lake once or twice annually. During my visits, I consistently allocate a day or two to dine at this establishment. The owner's commitment to guest interaction and ensuring food quality is commendable. The homemade soup is a particular draw, even during warmer months, with the remainder of the menu serving as an added benefit. The pizza is a must-try. While the Red Chimney Restaurant is often recommended within the town, I consider this location to be among my top dining choices based on my extensive experience across the province.

We love Red Chimney pizza! The owner here is so friendly and the service is always good. This is our traditional stop before trick or treating on Halloween, our go to for birthday dinners and our favourite takeout to bring home.

Rather plain looking restaurant but don’t be fooled- the food was so good and plentiful. Friendly, helpful waitress and the cook even paid us a visit to see how we were doing. Home made pizza crust was yummy. What a refreshing change from the chain restaurants. Definitely recommend.

The pizza bread is delicious and the meat sauce is to die for! The wings are nice and crispy , staff is very friendly! Definitely worth checking out in the beautiful pumpkin capital of Alberta Smokey lake!

Went for lunch Aug 21 ‘25.

Very good service from the staff. We really enjoyed the pizza at this restaurant. Good value overall. We will return on our next trip through Smoky Lake.

This place is beyond words! Honestly, I don’t care who you are or why you’re anywhere near Smoky Lake—you NEED to stop here. I used to hate pizza breadsticks… Melinda recommended I try them out and that they're made out of a special dough, and holy, was she right. They melt in your mouth and completely changed my mind.

And don’t even get me started on the desserts! The menu should come with a warning label! It’s dangerously delicious and absolutely addictive.

The staff? Super friendly and welcoming. Huge shoutout to Melinda—an incredible waitress whose passion truly shines through in everything she does and her recommendations are always on spot!

If I’m ever within 150 km of Smoky Lake, you better believe I’ll be coming back. I love that place.
