We had a great experience at this Rona. We purchased a product online and it ended up not being in stock. Paul the manager priced matched the other products we needed and threw in a free hookup! Amazing customer service from all staff!

We had a great experience with the first guy, he’s the reason we decided to go with composite over pressure treated for our deck. Went back a few days later to order it as it was going to be on sale. We did all the measurements and took a detailed list with everything we needed. He wasn’t in so we dealt with a lady that seemed abit unfamiliar with the process, but we had a detailed list, so figured it’d be fine. It took her about an hour to get it all into the computer, and find everything , but she managed and read it all off to us, to which we compared to our list and it was all right. She left it for another girl to place the order the next day. We waited a week and heard nothing so I called, and spoke to a young guy who had to put it on speaker phone with another guy, as he too didn’t quite know how to find the information if the order was in. It wasn’t. We waited another week, and I called again, and spoke to a young girl, who again, had no idea and had to ask someone. She came back and said she thinks it’s here, but she’s not 100%, and to just wait a few days for someone to call. We waited, and 2 days later, we got the call, but we were out of town, so I said we’d be there on Sunday. We borrowed a large truck as we were picking up 16’ pieces, and got there, and the guy couldn’t find the order and had to go get help. We found the order! It was on a single cart, bent into a “C” shape, because it was hanging over both sides. It could have been put on 2-3 carts for stability, but I guess this was less work for whoever did this, or better yet, lay it on the floor, flat. I took a lot of pictures. We were assured it would flatten out, but a few days later, laying flat in my garage, it’s still not flat. There are so many scuffs, and gouges on practically every piece, I was not at all impressed when I had just spent over $1400. My husband loaded it onto the truck, and I went to the front desk, as the lumber desk was closed on weekends, make that make sense! I told the girl the issue to which she said, “ya, I hear our wood isn’t very good “. I also forgot to mention that all of the pressure treated lumber that we ordered with the composite, was not with the order. The lady at the desk gave me a copy of my invoice I already had for some reason, with a card saying how did we do, which I tried to do a review, but wouldn’t accept as it said I had an invalid access number. I tried a few times and it said the same thing. All in all, I’m so disappointed with the whole experience, and when we get the deck done, if these scratches show up, ( were told they wouldn’t), but if they do, you can be sure you will be hearing from me again!

I was extremely impressed with the level of personalized service I received at the Carleton Place Rona. I had an unusual challenge. I needed a durable attractive product to redo the floor at my photographic studio and the solution we used in the past was no longer available. After visiting several stores , it was the Rona team that really helped me out! They found the right product and also provided great advice on how to apply it. As you can see in the photo below, the solution they came up with for the floor looks fantastic....

Buyer Beware - Sadly No Appliances
We purchased 5 new appliances from the Carleton Place Rona on May 24th, 2025 with a delivery date of August 2nd, 2025. This was to be two days after we moved into our new home. We shopped locally to support the economy in Carleton Place as this was now our new community. We moved into our new house on August 1st, 2025 with a hopeful delivery of our new appliances the next day. We received confirmation from Rona's contract delivery service RXO on August 1st that our delivery was to take place on August 2nd, 2025 between 1-4 pm. The next day (August 2nd) we received a phone call saying that there would be no delivery, and the appliances had been shipped back to Rona's Distribution Center in Milton Ontario. We called the store and spoke to a department manager and they did their best to find out what had happened, and rescheduled the second delivery attempt for August 7th, 2025. August 6th, 2025 I called the store to confirm that the appliances would be delivered the next day, and they called RXO and confirmed that they were on their dock in Ottawa and ready for delivery the next day. I also called RXO separately and they confirmed to me that they had the appliances and that they were on the dock and ready for delivery the next day. Later that afternoon, I got the official confirmation from RXO that they were scheduled to deliver our appliances between 9-12pm on August 7th, 2025. 7:10 the next morning I get a text that the delivery is now cancelled. I immediately called RXO and they said they did not have the appliances and that they had been returned to the Milton DC, and I should speak to Rona as it was not their problem. I called Rona in Carleton Place and spoke with a department manager who said they would look into it again. We waited a couple hours and then proceeded to the store to meet with the department manager face to face. At this point, she said that she would need to speak with the Store Manager and she would be right back. 30 minutes later when she returned, she advised us that the store manager would look into it, so we asked to speak with the store manager directly. The store manager reluctantly came out from his office and proceeded to dismiss our concerns and felt that our wait of now 6 days with no appliances was our concern and not his. He then told us to go home and wait for the delivery between 9-12pm as wouldn't we look dumb if the delivery actually came while we were at his store speaking to him. I confirmed that the app from RXO showed it not being delivered today and that they had sent me a text telling me that the order would not be delivered today, and still he said you will look pretty dumb if it comes and you are here, so I sent my wife home to wait while we tried to determine the outcome. In the meantime I asked about reordering the appliances and he said that would be pointless as they could still be delivered today. While looking up replacement appliances with the department manager, he came back and said that he now had confirmation that the appliances had indeed been shipped back to the Milton DC this morning and that reordering them was probably the best course of action. I asked why the appliances had been shipped back to the DC for a second time and he said he never asked. I called back later today and he said I thought you were going to reorder new appliances so I didn't follow up. I asked him to follow up with RXO and find out why they shipped them back for a second time and he never called me back. We then returned to the Rona in Carleton Place and got a refund for the appliances that we had purchased and paid for almost 2.5 months earlier. The store manager does not care about customer service and did nothing at all to help the situation. Carleton Place Rona buyers beware, once you have placed your order and paid, there is little recourse to resolve any delivery issues. They simply don't care.

So...My sister and I went into this store to buy garden stones...whilst we were told where we could find them, we were not offered any help what so ever..we are both close to 70 years old and had to.. A. Find a cart..B. Lug 6 bags of stone weighing 40 ibs each...C...Push the cart now 240lbs to the cash...D.Then push the cart to the car..E. Load it into the car...Any offer of help in these circumstances would have been much appreciated.

Terribly disappointed and what a waste of time; although the service in the garden department and the check-out deserves stars, the fact that I walked around in the kitchen department for 20 minutes saw Rona employees and even though I tried to get their attention, walked right past me. As a result, I came home and I am ordering my cabinets from somewhere else. I only hope their attention to customers improves.

Although I wasn't able to buy anything at the Carlton Place Rona, my Customer Service experience was exceptional👍👍Lois White helped me with trying to find the 2 items for our bathroom reno, but discovered they were only available through on-line shopping😕She was so pleasant, very patient all with a smile😊On our way out, Winnfred at cash was just as pleasant, thanking us for our visit, and to please come by again, despite not finding what we wanted. Keep up the great work, and thank you for your smiles...made my day👍👍
