Absolutely Horrible Experience – Never Again

I placed an online order with RONA for over $4,000 worth of materials and even paid $70 for truck delivery. While most items arrived in decent shape, several were damaged. What followed was a complete nightmare.

It took customer service four days just to get back to me, only to tell me to call the store directly. Meanwhile, my contractor was left waiting for replacements. When I finally called the store, I was put on hold for over 30 minutes, promised an exchange, and then told the items were out of stock. That was a blatant lie—because the website showed over 130 units available at that same store. Still, they refused to honor it.

In the end, RONA only replaced two of the four damaged items, and the replacements showed up in worse condition than the originals. The time wasted, the lack of accountability, and the complete indifference to customer service are beyond unacceptable.

After this experience, I will never order from RONA again—and I’d strongly caution others to think twice before trusting them with large orders. Not to mention how long I had to wait at the vip desk just to get the stupid account activated. Learn a thing or two from home depot.

When this was a Lowes store it was so easy to find an employee — there were so many of them and they were all very willing to help! This store has gone so far downhill so fast! Very few employees and the ones that are there aren’t very willing to help at all! I’m glad there’s a Home Depot closer to me than this store!

My husband ordered a window, and was told it would be ready in about 30 days. It’s now almost the end of September and the window still hasn’t arrived. It’s getting colder, and I’m very disappointed. I chose to support Rona instead of the bigger stores, but this delay makes me feel like I made a mistake. And i try to contacted customer service too but no answear. Really big mistake

Got our first snow shovel from here. Ordered online, received email for pickup in couple of hours. Staffs are cool, place is neat! Will buy 4” duct from here next week.

This morning, I visited the store to purchase a DW618 router. Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The staff showed a complete lack of responsibility and professionalism. I waited for more than 30 minutes for them to bring the item from the warehouse — despite their system showing it was in stock — but in the end, they couldn’t find it.

Based on this experience, I don’t recommend this store for buying professional tools. Their internal management and customer service need serious improvement.

Cheaper generally than Home Depot, not always the same selection, and you’d be hard pressed to find a single employee on the floor. Never anyone to ask for help. But I guess that’s what keeps it less expensive lol.

I would like to thank the plumbing part assistant (Chris?) for her/his excellent help over the past few months. Kind, knowledgeable, and reliable are words that describe him.
I hope to see him on my next visit when I need help.

Much better then the last location we were at. With no cashiers. The service here was stellar. Got all the plants I needed. Everyone was helpful. Nice selection.
