Safeway Cornerstone - Camrose, Alberta

My partner was layed off from his job a few months ago and today we had to use an Alberta Support voucher to buy our groceries today until we get our first paycheck next week. I was nervous about using this as we have never needed to use government supports before and i was unsure how the benefits worked. Thank you so much to the manager on duty this evening for helping to explain everything and make sure we were taken care of as well as our cashier on till 5 with the pink and blonde hair. You were both so kind and i really appreciate how discreet and none judgmental you both were about the situation. I hope you both have a fantastic week !

The Safeway bakery was able to change the date I needed a cake for my son and do up a really cute toy story one. They were really awesome at accommodating us!

Staff is friendly at this location and the store is always clean and well stocked on items. Great location.

I am not a person to normally leave reviews,however Michael from the produce department deserved five stars plus. I was out of leaf lettuce so thought I would just quickly run out and get some. Michael was putting out produce close to where the lettuce was. The leaf lettuce looked a little limp and Michael noticed me hesitating. He asked me if I would like for him to check in the back, which he did. I was so happy with the lettuce I was purchasing.
But thats not the best part....I mentioned to Michael that the last time I bought lettuce I washed it in a little baking soda and water....that lettuce lasted well over a week and not a brown spot .
I was in the bakery department...Michael walked all the way from the other end of the store to tell me if I cut a sliver off the core before putting in water it would draw in moisture.
Sorry for such a long message but I was so impressed!!!!! Who does that kind of thing anymore....to go the second mile in customer service. The staff that the camrose store is great but he was exceptional!

Hubby purchased 2 dozen long stemmed red roses for me and they are absolutely gorgeous! Safeway floral department never disappoints and the staff is awesome!

Was a preferred grocery store, but since Shell bought the gas station it is useless to shop there. The coupon you recieve for purchases at the store to use for gas purchase at the Shell located there are useless. Shell has raised the price there so when you use your coupon you may break even with other station in Camrose. Today price is 161.9 every where else 149.9, (even the other Shell).
If anything calls for a boycott, this does.

I went in for their Fizzy Ras Raspberry zero calorie drink and popping corn. They had neither but I got the popping corn at PC Superstore

Prices are kinda high like everywhere else, but friendly staff and happy to serve customers, I was looking for store made pizza and asked at the counter they checked and there was non on the shelves so the guy made up two fresh ones right quick

My gram grams ordered some flowers to be delivered to her friend for her birthday. She was unaware at the time that her friend had left for a short holiday. The gentleman (Leo?) went above and beyond to deliver them, he asked a neighbor if they knew when she would return and he then delivered a fresh bouquet once she returned! Thank you to this gentleman for going above and beyond and making this such a wonderful experience! The Camrose Floral Dept is lucky to have such an amazing employee.
