Drove 2 Hours to visit family, and it's the first time visiting Athabasca. Ordered a TRIPLE Pepperoni Pizza. Confirmed 4 times on the phone 3x Pepperoni.

We did not get triple Pepperoni. We got maybe half Pepperoni. (Photo for show)

The pizza sauce was also bland and it was not a favorite of our group. 1/10. Likely won't order again.

Our group did like the "kitchen sink" pizza. But there was a consensus that the sauce lacked flavor.

I'm always looking for a good mushroom burger. While on a trip home from Athabasca, I asked a local if there were any good and fast places to eat. He said that Sal's has the best mushroom burgers. Sold! Sal's didn't disappoint. It was the best mushroom burger I've had in decades! The bun was super fresh, the beef patty was big, juicy, seasoned and cooked just right, the mushrooms and mushroom sauce were super flavourful, and the cheddar cheese was a tangy surprise. I've promised my mom who lives in Edmonton and loves mushroom burgers too that we'll be making the ~2 hour trip north so she can try one too. I'll be back!

Nice place with air conditioning it was a very warm feeling with a updated modern feel to Sals.
Food was very good
This was a first time to have cheddar cheese on a mushroom burger when it is usually swiss cheese.

Good spot to pop in if you're passing through, or in the area. Customer service is excellent and the atmosphere is cozy. There's a huge menu selection which makes it hard to decide, cause it all looks so good! They have everything from all day breakfast, pizzas, wraps, donairs, poutines, wings & more. I had the donair salad with tzaziki sauce and my guy had the mushroom burger. They used processed cheddar on the burger that didnt fully cover the burger, he said it was "okay." The donair salad was good, but it would've been better with more onions.

Great pizza. The ratio of crust/sauce/toppings/cheese is excellent. For a 16" pizza it was easy to eat and not a floppy mess. The sauce has a nice tang, cheese and toppings tasted fresh. I re-heated the left-overs the next day, and it was delicious. It's our goto when in Athabasca.

Outstanding donairs! Friendly and fast service. Plenty of tables. Clean and attractive. Lots of other options on the menu as well but my only experience was with the donair, which was among the best I’ve had anywhere. Perfect blending of sweet and savory in the sauce.

Well I should have gone for the burgers but nope. Had to try the hawaïen donair. Basically nothing in it. Lettuce. Toms. Chicken chunks and pineapple. Loaded with what basically amounts to a garlic caesar dressing. I was done within 5 bites. Was no longer interested after that.
The philly cheese steak calzone was also a disappointment. Overly sweet. Bit greasy and lacking filling.
Will update once i try their burger. But for now.
Underwhelming, pricey and wouldn recommend going to the buylow instead.

The team was very friendly and hard-working. As for the food it was a pass 👍
