This was my second time purchasing from Schreiter's so I will say up front that I had already a great first time experience and kudos to Lauren McCann who provided superior customer service back in September 2023. It isn't every day a customer phones in and asks how fast can I purchase a recliner and how soon can it be delivered? No, I don't have to see it right away but can I pay for it now over the phone? Thanks to miraculous Lauren, it was handled in record time and never before has the terminology "white glove delivery" been so worthy of that name. The carriers were just wonderful and took a lot of time explaining how the controls on the power Divani recliner worked. It had wonderful features like a port for charging a device and the smoothest movement from upright to full reclining mode that I've ever experienced. The chair is still in brilliant shape, giving support and comfort and I knew that I would be back one day when I was ready to purchase a sofa of similar quality. I nearly did the same year but changed my mind as I wasn't 100% sure that I wanted to go with the same design again.
Hence my experience with Ryan King, who provided friendly advice when I wandered in, kind of spontaneously, to see the selection of recliner sofas. "I don't suppose you'd have my previous purchase on record?" I asked, explaining that I wanted something of similar design that would fit in. Ryan showed me many options in a very low key, non pressureful manner, leaving me alone to sit on all the offerings and figure out whether I would be happy making any of them part of my home.
To make a long story short, I not only purchased an exquisite IMG leather sofa, I added a couple of dining chairs and couldn't be happier with the purchases. Again I must comment on the excellence of the delivery process. Everyone wants something "free" nowadays and there is an expectation of free delivery when paying top dollar for expensive furniture or appliances. I can honestly say I don't regret one dollar of the delivery fees as the two young men were immeasurably kind and helpful. We were getting rid of an old mattress and my husband, who has some mobility challenges, asked if they would help him lift it over our deck railing so it could more easily be taken to the curb on garbage day. They did more than this. They offered to transport it to the dump. That's really going beyond the call of duty! Not everyone is sensitive to the needs of differently abled people so this was greatly appreciated. One more reason to choose Schreiter's for all my decor needs.
I want to commend Andrea as well; a final payment needed to be made on delivery day and she was grace personified over the telephone. Efficient, yes, but so friendly you'd want to phone her just to chat about the weather or design trends! I'm convinced all the Schreiter's employees must offer the same excellence in service because they take pride in it. I was told they do not work via commission so their mandate is helping the customer get what they want, and doing everything they can to accommodate. Originally my purchases were to arrive in two deliveries but Ryan went the extra mile so that everything would be delivered on the same day. I did not make this request. He did this on his own, informing me afterwards, giving me the option to decide as it did mean accepting floor models. I was thrilled to have everything sooner rather than later and delighted that this was offered. To be completely thorough, I must also thank management because this needed to meet with their approval.
This kind of proactive, thoughtful service is what makes customers happy and I am looking forward to the next time I want to update my decor. Schreiter's will be my first stop.
