This is not a local shop. It's one of only two Smartwool locations in all North America. Americans, as of July 2024, the conversion rate means buying things full price here is cheaper than buying them in the USA. Stock up here unless you have an REI coupon or something similar. Patterns, colors, and designs not found in USA retailers are found here. Changing rooms are available.

Went to shop local and were met with attitude.

We weren’t acknowledged at any point during our browsing and when we went to make a purchase were informed this is a “local store and they do not do corporate promotions”, apparently we should have know this…… That’s fine but we could have done without the cold shoulder.

Also there is a large step at the front, so not sure how accessible the store is for anyone with mobility concerns or strollers since the staff wouldn’t talk to us, maybe there’s a ramp in the alley?

We love Smartwool, The big gentleman who was there that day was really not polite, no hello or welcome .., only: "No ice in the store!!". Which I understand perfectly but his tone that he used made us leave the store quickly. Domage, we had thought to make a lot of purchases there

Good locally owned store with great base layers for outdoor adventures. Mostly Merino wool but they have a light and a heavier blend. Staff are friendly. I personally didn't find anything for myself but my partner found some great base layers.

Great store with quality clothing! The Smart Wool line was exactly what I was looking for! The employee working that day was very helpful and informative. Left the store after making a purchase and will likely be back on our next trip out

As a local in the bow valley, I often shop at smartwool as I love the product. However during my last visit I found the customer service from the Australian lady unfriendly and unhelpful. When I approached to ask a question her demeanour was abrupt and dismissive. I left the store highly unsatisfied without purchasing what I came to buy. I am used to excellent customer service and hope to find a friendly face on my next visit.

I love Smartwool socks and have at least 2 dozen pairs of socks at home and I wear them nearly every day. Imagine my disappointment at the poor treatment from the staff at this location. Not very friendly or particularly helpful unless you’re white. This is the only explanation I can think of after a group of us received zero greeting or offer to help after browsing in the store for at least for 20 minutes. While there, a Caucasian couple was greeted and approached for help within 2 minutes of entering the store. Explanation for not helping us out? “Oh sorry, I was busy…” when they were visibly doing nothing behind the counter. The couple left and bought nothing. However most of the folks in my group left spending $40-80 each. I’ll continue to buy Smartwool products but will avoid this location.

A really nice shop with a great selection. Most things are pricey but the quality looks great. I purchased a few small items and I like their lack of bulkiness. I found the male clerk to be doing an excellent job of managing customers politely while adhering to Covid practices. I hope that store remains indefinitely.
