I’ve never felt so helpless in a store as I did during my first visit to Sobeys. I came in as an Uber Eats shopper and simply asked for a bit of help locating a few items. Instead of offering assistance, a staff member named Patii responded with arrogance and complete disregard. She coldly told me it was my job to figure it out on my own and refused to help in any way. Her attitude was dismissive, condescending, and borderline racist.

Her excuse was that almost “44 delivery drivers ask her for help every day,” and she’s tired of it. She told me bluntly that it’s not her job to assist and that I should find the items myself. She acted proud and angry — like helping people is beneath her.

I was made to feel like a burden for simply asking for guidance in an unfamiliar store. Her frown and negativity from start to finish made the entire experience stressful and disheartening. No customer or delivery driver deserves to be treated this way. I left feeling completely disrespected and unwelcome.

If this is how Sobeys treats shoppers or delivery drivers trying to support their business, I’ll definitely think twice before returning. Very disappointed.

Used to go daily for lunch at the salad bar, they had someone who clearly took pride in keeping it fresh and it was regularly busy. Seems like the owner or corporate has decided to remove the salad bar. So my choices for lunch are reduced to junk. The pre made salads or typically stale or in available

Unfortunately had an awful experience at your location. Was in there on Sunday Morning (June 22nd) in a rush looking for bottled water and ice. First thought was to look at the front of the store by the cashiers as you usually have these items there. I looked and didn’t see them. The lady (Red Hair, heavy set and glasses) was at the self checkout and I greeted her with a Good Morning and asked “what aisle is the bottle water in? She replied I don't know, but you better start looking!!! I was in a hurry and thrown off and proceeded to look for it myself!
After reflecting on this, I realized what horrible customer service this lady provided. Not only was she not helpful, but rude!! I know people go through things in there life and sometimes being at work and dealing with people isn’t what they want to do. But honestly word to the wise, if your having a bad day either stay home, or leave your issues at the door once you step into work.
Now I will rethink visiting your store for groceries as dealing with rude employees is not worth my time & a complete turn off.

The items are expired — always check the dates before buying anything! And it’s not just 1 or 2 items, almost every product on that shelf was expired. This is unacceptable. âš ïžđŸ›’

Very clean store. Majority of employees very friendly and helpful. The fresh vegetable section is the very best. The employees there will always enthusiastically make up trays or salads to order. Bakery staff are excellent too. Meat department is very helpful and accommodating. However, selection of cuts are often wanting. For instance, no beef flank steak. The hot counter is usually very good. However, lately it has been lacking in variety, empty trays, and sometimes disappointing quality. Perhaps there are new people involved.
Checkout staff is friendly and helpful with the exception of just a couple who are a bit sour for me. Those people I avoid and go to another lane or self-checkout.
The store is lovely making shopping a pleasure. However, the set up often makes it hard to find items I need.
Thank you.

I have shopped this Sobeys for years and I enjoy for its diversity of products they have there. Their health food section is quite robust. They're a little more expensive than most though which is the only drawback for me. Staff there are friendly and helpful. The store is kept clean and it's definitely following covid guidelines. The potato scallion bread is amazing!

Political products such as “Elbows Up” chocolate should not be on shelves of a grocery store. Keep politics out of business.

That aside, the quality and care at this location has been on the decline. Rotten fruit and vegetables left on display and products often in strange places that don’t align with where they should be.

We’ve been driving further to do groceries as opposed to shopping here.

Absolutely terrible place to shop, produce is generally rotten or will be in a matter of days, it seems they allow their produce to freeze as many times I have come across icy items. prices are higher than everywhere, deli counter just piles your cold cuts in one massive pile then jams it into a bag.
Meat counter cuts look like they are done at a school for the blind and handless.

Cashiers have no sense of urgency, and considering they generally only have 1 cash open, you can spend over 15 minutes trying to cash out.

I think the only thing they have right in this place is their frozen foods are frozen...

I bought these strawberries today...
