I started volunteering at SSVP August 2024, I'm officially their Gardener. I love weeding and will get back to it as soon as this humidity breaks....I miss weeding ♥️♥️♥️

Beyond disgusted and discouraged from ever reaching out for help here again . I called on behalf of my sister for assistance for her and her son for food . Keep in mind this was her FIRST Time ever reaching out . They accidentally got the wrong name on the envelope for her vouchers . My sister has Severe PTSD and anxiety so I called on her behalf . The volunteer Christine decided she was going to yell at me ask why I gave the wrong last name I told her I did not . She essentially sat there insisting I was lying . I tried to remain calm and polite but then she tells out in front of EVERYONE in the store . Why can't you just call ? I told her she has anxiety and PTSD so I called on her behalf she is disabled .she didn't deserve to be centered out like that . She has had a really hard year . There was no reason . She began talking under her breathe and just being rude the entire time .( The volunteer Christine ) Everyone else was super polite . I can not imagine a volunteer from a CHURCH RUN Organization being so rude . She also yelled out her personal information in front of everyone . It was only when my husband came in from the car because I texted him to come in because they were being very rude and my sister almost left without help she needed and we were both having trouble standing up for ourselves I feel like an apology is DUE. That she pretended to start being polite .

Today, I bought an Angel for the top of my tree. I have been looking for this particular Angel for a few years. I was very pleased with my purchase. If you are looking for Christmas gifts or decorations, St Vincent de Paul Thrift Store is the place to go. Prices a very reasonable

Disappointed that large donations made of value do not get charity receipts. Sadly then goods go to go other communities where receipts are given. Brantford loss

I had items for a pickup and everyone I dealt with at St. Vincent De Paul was wonderful! They arrived when they said, took all of the items, and were friendly, courteous, and considerate.
I was so impressed when I popped in the next day with a missing brass cap for a table leg and saw that they had already sold the couch the day that they picked it up! If you see something you like in the store, buy it right away!

Thrift store run by the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, Brantford.
The store has a wide variety of clothing, bedding, utensils, furniture and other items. All items are in good quality.

Very well run and clean store. My only negative comment would be that the slope of the exit causes me and others who do not drive SUVs to scrape the front fender of the car on the pavement when exiting. It would be great if someone could fix that. It happens even if you drive out extremely slowly.

I noticed this oil painting immediately when I walked in the St. Vincent thrift store. I purchased him & named him Scotty. Treasures flow through here. The volunteers are elderly & absolutely adorable. This store is clean & lots of fun. See you Friday morning at 10am
