This magnificent piece of history was such a treat on our little road trip with family. The service was fun, fast and on point. The food was absolutely delicious, served quickly and the plates were LARGE. 6 of us easily shared a plate of nachos as an appetizer, the battered fish is a fillet not a piece, the burger was packed sky high & the ribs are served on a slab of wood cause they won’t fit on a plate! We are thinking of making a trip here a tradition for our family visits.

Came in for lunch on our holiday travels. We were seated beside one of the workers on his time off. We ordered drinks and got them promptly. After 40 minutes waiting for a refill the worker went up and made them himself which was very kind. 90 minutes later… still waiting for our food which he reordered for us. It is not overly busy here with about 20 people in total so I don’t know what the issue is. Waitress has not returned since our initial interaction. Still waiting…

Someday have specials. We hit wing day by accident. The wings, coffee, and beer made our day. Great job on the inventive wing flavors. I recommend the maple bacon wings.... we will be back.

Food was good but they can improve a bit more. The pizza crust was very hard. Sliders were delicious.

Beautiful place, worth visiting to have beautiful pictures taken. However, food was mediocre. It looked good but it was not greatly cooked, we were disappointed, especially when you pay good $

We were served by the bartender. He was excellent. On point, not distant or overbearing. Couldn't be more pleased.

Food portions we're a little large, but I'd rather leave something on the plate than feel there wasn't enough value.

Food was prepared well, felt like it was actually made, not franchise microwave mass produced nonsense.

Will definitely return.

Incredible building, hands down. The care that went into the restoration was top notch.
However we made a reservation for the main floor to accommodate a member of our party with age related mobility challenges and we were put on the second floor without bathroom facilities.
The sound system was blasting a local radio station with gregarious announcers creating a huge obstacle to communicate with each other and the waitress. They eventually turned it down but it was still just awful.
The waitress was a young girl that worked her tail off, and her tip reflected her efforts.
My whiskey burger was excellent, however I was looking forward to seafood being the middle of the season and being positioned literally on the water. The menu does not celebrate Newfoundland fare, which is an easy fix.
I've been waiting since they've opened to trying the Stone Jug, and have been waiting for the right opportunity to dine there. We travel once a year from Ontario and reuniting with family was the perfect event to celebrate.
With only about twenty patrons in the establishment, an overwhelmed kitchen could not be a reasonable excuse.
With tourism on a meteoric rise, their issues are easily remedied with a staffing shuffle, ie, management and chef.

Until then, I'll pass.
