I had an amazing experience at this Chinese restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, with rich flavors and authentic taste. The was perfectly cooked, and the was some of the best I've ever had. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the ambiance was warm and inviting. Whether you're a fan of Chinese cuisine or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit! I will definitely be coming back. Highly recommended

It’s been a while since I dined at this location, and our family had a lovely lunch.

We all ordered the meal sets for $25.50 per person, which includes soup, a side dish, a main course, a drink and dessert:

*Osmanthus Steamed Fish
*Green Tea Ginseng Chicken
*Crispy Fish Fillet
*Taiwanese Basil Chicken

It may not seem like much food, but it was filling.

The service was efficient, although they did mix up our drinks, and the steamed egg on two of our combos was inconsistent (one was perfect, one was too runny).

The mango yogurt pudding is one of the best I’ve had. The texture is perfect, not too jiggly or firm, and perfectly sweetened.

The prices are a bit steep, but the overall experience was enjoyable.

Came for a quick lunch. Just ordered the special of the day for $16.90 and came with one drink (hot or cold). Today special (Tuesday) was deep fried fish filet in rice with thicken satay soup. Fish tastes okay but I don’t taste much about satay though. The drink is huge and can select sugar and ice level. I asked for 30% sugar and it is great. Will come back for other dishes in future. High ceiling and very comfortable to enjoy meal.

Iconic Taiwanese chain that specializes in tea and Taiwanese small eats.

I’ve come to this location several times and their food tastes very authentic. My favourites are their salt & pepper popcorn chicken, fried fish cake, nabeyaki udon and their bubble fruit teas and fruit slushes. Their bento boxes are also very large and a great deal. They have weekday specials that include a food item and a drink for $16.90.

They have a section where you can purchase their large selection of tea bags and gift sets. This location is quite busy all the time and there is typically a wait during peak lunch and dinner times. Best to make a reservation before coming during these times. Parking can also be difficult as the parking lot is quite small.

Their combo at 25.5 is relatively good value for what you're getting, which is a salad, a soup, a side, a main, a dessert, and a bubble tea. You get to choose from a set list.

I'm a fan of their popcorn chicken and braised pork belly for the main. The side dish egg is good but the tofu was meh. For dessert, get the mango pudding cause the green tea jelly was really bitter and the worst thing I've had there.

Allan, the manager at Ten Ren off Highway 7, is absolutely outstanding! I’ve been a loyal customer for several years, and his dedication and work ethic have always stood out. I initially thought he might be the owner or a family member because of how much he genuinely cares about the business and its customers. Allan’s exceptional leadership is evident in the respect he’s earned from his team — it’s clear they value him, and that respect is well-deserved. His customer service is unmatched, and his high emotional intelligence shines through in every interaction. Ten Ren is lucky to have such an incredible manager who consistently goes above and beyond!

Beef and tea were good in our 2nd visit to Ten Ren.

The Oolong Braised Beef Rice Bowl was good. The braised beef was soft and savoury. It went well with the white rice and veggies (broccoli and carrots).

The Pan-Fried Beef Tenderloin + Taiwanese
Minced Pork Rice + Vegetable Soup Set from their Taiwanese Sizzling Hot Plate Selection was surprisingly good. The Pan-Fried Beef Tenderloin was nicely seasoned with salt and pepper, tender, juicy, and savoury. The beef tenderloin pieces were thick and generous. The Taiwanese Minced Pork Rice was good. Wish they added in more minced pork to the rice. The vegetable soup was good and tasty but a little too salty by itself. Definitely have to enjoy the soup with the rice.

Lastly, we tried the Assam Black Tea with getting milk and sugar on the side since we were curious how they make their Assam Milk Black Tea when ordered. For the milk, it’s evaporated milk. For the sugar, we were surprised that they use maple syrup.

The Assam Black Tea without evaporated milk and maple syrup was smooth and good. Adding in the evaporated milk and maple syrup to the Assam Black Tea created a harmonized melody of flavours to make a really good Assam Black Milk Tea 🙂

We were craving some good milk black tea and Ten Ren hit that spot for us.

The Assam Milk Black Tea was awesome! It’s perfectly made here. Would recommend if you looking for a good smooth milk black tea.

We also tried the Mango Snow Ice. It was a good combo of mango shaved ice, mango pieces and condensed milk. The mango pieces provided were generous 🙂 Only downside was the syrup which lathered the mango pieces. It would have been nice to have less of this syrup.
