My work takes me to small towns across North America and this diner is top-notch.

The owners greeted us as soon as we entered and brought out their world-class coffee as soon as we sat down. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and it was by far and away the best I’ve ever had. The portions were huge, the food quality was exceptional, and to top it off the bread was homemade!

For the size of the town, Smoky Lake is lucky to have an eatery of this quality. If you’re ever in the area, or looking for a reason to take a road trip, this place is worth the visit.

A super addition to our community. Great location next door to the post office. Evolving menu with great additions. Lots of board games,and free Edmonton Sun, EdmontonJournal, Epoch Times and others. Cappachinos, lattes, expresso's and house blend. Daily specials. And check out the new deserts! GREAT New beverages and deserts for the summer season. Owners go out of their way to look after customers and the community.

We arrived in advance of a Thunderstorm and had a most delicious soup and salad. Right after we ordered, the power went out in the whole town. This did not phase Chris and Galia one bit; the lack of electricity was more than made up by the warmth of their hospitality. I also love the reading table and the gaming centre. It would be a great day's drive out for all you Edmonton gamers to taste great food, be well served, and enjoy good company. Don't worry, they are most welcoming to all you non-gamers (like us) as well!

Stopped in while camping with family the last couple times in Smoky. Amazing breakfast, and very strong lattes which is a must when camping with my kids. It's a must stop if your in Smoky. My daughter said it was the best french toast she has ever had.

We were in the Smoky Lake area for a couple of days and came across the cafe online and wow, this cafe is great. We were ravenously hungry when we stopped by and the breakfasts we each had were outstanding. The French Toast, and the eggs and bacon breakfast. Galia makes her own bread and strawberry jam and it tasted so homemade with flavour and texture-yum! The scrambled eggs were done perfectly, whisked together and cohesive and creamy and so well seasoned. I enjoyed every bite. An excellent cook.
We loved the atmosphere in there too of conviviality and chatting with friendly strangers and if we’d had more time, we likely might have rented a board game to play at the campsite.
Chris and Galia are very generous people who did us a favour as well, and we loved their views on food and sustainability of food production.
We hope you stay open and thrive for a long time! Great unexpected find in a small town.

My lady and I moved from Vancouver island last October, this place has by far outshines every coffee house and eatery
in the surrounding area. The food is fresh and comforting. The atmosphere is friendly and warm. The coffee is outstanding especially the specialty ones such as the Americano, which was on point 🤙🏽
I highly recommend stopping here for coffee on the run, or if you have time to spend, this is the place!!
