We found Marcia on a whim as she was local to us. We were looking for a simple, classy cake design for our wedding. From start to finish she is very detailed and thorough with her design process. We tried multiple cake testings prior to booking her and fell inlove with many of her flavours. She has a true art in what she does. Our wedding cake was SO beautiful and was exactly what we had envisioned for our day. The cake itself melts in your mouth and the flavouring is spot on! We would highly recommend The Dessert Room for anyone looking for a stunning, delicious wedding cake. We will definitely be using her business for events moving forward in the future!

Marcia is amazing! We ordered our wedding cake from her and she was so fantastic and meticulous! We originally asked for buttercream swirls and a gradient but Marcia knew that she wouldn’t be able to achieve the gradient the way she wanted so instead made individual sugar flowers into the perfect gradient. The cakes and tasting boxes were great because we were able to really decide how we wanted our cake to taste and gave our family an opportunity to try and give input! It was so lovely, we didn’t have any cake (asides from the top tier) left because people loved it so much!

From the start, she was exceptionally kind, patiently walking us through every detail – from pricing and design to the perfect cake size. Even when we needed to adjust our pick-up time, she handled it with understanding and grace.

Marcia truly turned our vision into a reality. Our iconic, heart-shaped red velvet cake, decorated with black cursive, was absolutely stunning – exactly what we had envisioned.

"Since when is wedding cake this delicious?" Marcia did a wonderful job on our wedding cake. It was a delicious lemon/vanilla bean flavour and equally beautiful to look at. Several of our guests told us it was the tastiest wedding cake they've ever had, and we agree! We also really enjoyed the tasting box at home. Such a fun part of wedding planning.

Absolutely amazed by how well Marcia knocked it out of park for us 🙂 we had a Gothic Halloween themed wedding and really wanted a black cake. She was absolutely enthusiastic about the project and easy to work with, we spoke over the phone about the theme and what I envisioned for our cake, then she sent me some ideas and references and absolutely understood what I was looking for. We booked a three tier cake, each tier a different flavor. We bought a tasting box to try out six cake flavors to be able to choose the flavors for our wedding cake. Every single flavor was good (no exaggerating, she's incredible, I don't even like raspberries but I loved the raspberry lemon one), but the ones we choose were absolutely hands down the best cake we've ever had in our lives, and my husband went through culinary school and even he was super impressed. We chose Chocolate Espresso as the biggest, Salted Caramel Crunch as the middle, and Red Velvet as the top tier. We ended up having to tuck away a slice of the Chocolate Espresso in the venues kitchen because despite being the biggest tier, our guests LOVED it so much, they kept coming back for seconds and eating it all hahaha. We just had to hide some for ourselves before they took it all hehehe
Once again, incredible customer service, incredible execution, unbelievably delicious flavors. You can tell that Marcia absolutely knows her stuff and is incredibly experienced and professional.

Marcia and Audra are fantastic! I have gotten many a pie and macaron from them in the past few years and am NEVER disappointed. The quality of work is definitely reflected in every bite.

For my wedding this year I had requested a macaron tower and they more than delivered. I cannot recommend them enough!
