Called into store last Saturday, a great selection of drinks. Rory who attended us was brilliant in his knowledge of drinks on offer. Thought initially he was the owner but only discovered later that he only worked there. He obviously has a great desire to help people choose the right drink on offer.

I am a longtime local in Banff, have never been in to Townhouse Liquor. Was looking for an affordable tequila, saw one withe price under product of 39,99 and took it to cash. Price never showed up on debit machine, paid with my debit, and noticed screen to left that showed almost 64.00. Asked if that was my purchase and was told it was. I said pricing on shelf was 39.99, was told I grabbed larger bottle. I asked for refund, was told cashier did not know how to do refund. I said you need better pricing on shelves and learn how to do refunds. His comment back (Had accent, British?) was Maybe I need learn how to read pricing better. I will never be back. Poor attempt of showing pricing of product and rude, untrained staff. I understand businesses are struggling for staff, but if you hire them.....train them. Also train them on manners.

Fantastic staff who are very knowledgeable! We personally dealt with Rory, and he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable to be able to make great recommendations. Our go to when visiting Banff moving forward!

Good sprits store! Fine selection, all the white wines are in a walk in cooler so it’s all ready to go. Rory made a good suggestion of a BC pinot blanc that paired well w our pâté and cheese board and had good suggestions for local restaurants. Good local stop.

I LOVE the craft beers here! I gotta go at least once a week to see what's new, there's always something I've never seen anywhere before. The guy with the cool shirts is funny, and honest when I asked him about something he hadn't personally tried. Sold me on that awesome purple wildlife gin I would never have bought otherwise. Good location.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I was in there today with my 19 year old son. One of the cashiers, who had blondish/reddish hair, a beard and tattoos, was eavesdropping on our private conversation, we were talking about what to buy and if we should get anything else. He asked for my son's id, which was accidentally left in the car. I was making a purchase, my son was not. He was immediately rude and condescending. He didn't believe that my son was really my son, and said "that's a good story, but this sale is not happening," basically calling both me and my son liars. He went off about how we will be fined and that security cameras are watching us. There was no reason for us to be belittled and told off like this. The prices also seem to be $10 - $30 more expensive than anywhere else. This guy was beyond rude and very unprofessional. No way I would ever go back.
