The local farm produce was not really in season yet, but there were several interesting products for sale. One of my favorites is Haskap Berry syrups and jams. I may have to go back and get a real supply of them. 2 jars are obviously not going to last long. Also, the pastries at Fritz are worth the trip by themselves.

It was my first time visiting the Vernon Farmers Market.

I usually visit if it's the Friday night Polson Market, or if you really want to go into the time capsule, the previous weekday Farmers Markets held in the Village Green parking lot.

There were about 30 stalls altogether set up on Monday. About 10 of them are dedicated to food and the rest are dedicated to everything else.

Make sure to get there prior to 12:30 as live music ends by then and vendors start packing up.

It's not a big setup, but feel free to visit if you're looking for something to do on a weekday in Vernon.

I’ve lived in Vernon with my family for a couple of years now and decided it was time to check out the Vernon Farmers’ Market for the first time as my son wants to be a vendor. It’s an averages sized market open twice a week with probably about 50-60 vendors. Nothing really stood out to me - very typical selection of vendors.

But then a market volunteer approached me and told me I was not allowed to take photos while at the Vernon Farmers’ Market and insisted I delete them all from my phone. Rather than arguing with her about why they were taken as I intended to show them to my son in preparation for the summer and potentially becoming a vendor - seeing as he is still in school during market hours - I just left. Not sure if I will ever return as a customer or a vendor. You never get a second chance to make a great first impression.

I hear the Polson Park Friday Night Market is a lot more fun, friendly and current.

Had at least three fruit stands with amazing cherries and peaches. Found it rather small in comparison with others in neighbouring cities

If you're looking for the most fresh variety of fruits and veggies, you have come to the right place! Along with wonderful artists and crafters. And don't forget the amazing food and beverages! My favorite was the real fruit smoothies!

It's okay, though, considering the number of farms and orchards around, one would expect a bit more variety.

It was alright for a Monday morning market, and number of vendors had fresh vegetables, my only complaint was the cost, but that's me.
