Mario and Mia are just the best! I have stayed 2 times now and the service, hospitality and cleanliness is just above average. I was to be having surgery in Viking so we went to check it out and randomly picked to stay here and how lucky were we. The rooms are so cute and cozy, have everything you need, so clean, the bar down stairs has great food, service and company! Fast forward and month and I am back again for 2 nights with my mom, from the minute we walked in, they remembered I was here for surgery and my mom would be staying a night alone and just treated us like family. They always checked to make sure my mom had everything she needed and we just wanna say thank you so much. I had never even heard of Viking alberta before but it will be on our list of places we continue to return and visit even if its just for a quick bite to eat and a beer. We definitely recommend if you are passing through this cute town stop in and see these lovely people at Viking motel and bar, you won't regret it. Thanks again to you all!

I was in a bind with arriving in town in the middle of the night and needing a place to stay. Mario and Maddy went above and beyond to get me a room ASAP. I was so impressed with how quick, understanding and friendly they were. I'd give them 6 stars for service if I could!

Coming from Calgary and stayed here for work. The owners, Mario and his Wife, are amazing! They go above and beyond to make sure the guest are well taken care of. The rooms are very clean and are cleaned regularly. The cleaners are so nice and attentive to your requests. The environment is very welcoming, feels like home. They have a restaurant and bar downstairs with slot machines, pool and foosball tables which is very convenient , especially on a Friday or Saturday night in a small town. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Viking or even near by towns. I always enjoy my stay! Thanks for the amazing hospitality Mario and family!

The photos of this hotel do not do it justice. I read the reviews and decided to give it a try. The owner, Mario, is very personable and goes out of his way to make you feel welcome. The room is clean, and a decent size. There is a small fridge and a microwave. The hotel was renovated a few years ago. The only thing I would change is the mattress, it was much harder than I am used to sleeping on, but not a deal breaker. I stayed here for work and will return.

Small older family run hotel attached to a small town bar. Room was updated and very clean. Price was great and the service was great. I was a late arrival and bartender doing "double duty" prioritized my check in when I introduced myself as calling earlier for a room. Entrench way up to the second floor was very nice. Noise from the bar was faint. Couldn't hear it with the TV on low. Bed was very comfortable.

I came out here for work and found this hidden gem. The room is updated at a great price. Highly recommend if you are looking to get a room in town. The owner makes sure you are taken care of. Great guy
