I really like this store. Every time I go to St. Jacobs I go to this store and always buy something. The owner has excellent taste, because clothes and accessories are selected according to color and style. There is a large selection of fashionable clothes in the most fashionable colors.
Love the abundance of high quality scarves. I will definitely come here again.

My friend and I love this store. She travels over an hour to go and we never leave empty handed. "We're like kids in a Candy Store." There are lots of new things every time we visit.
Their clothing is beautiful and good quality. They have jewelry, purses, gloves, scarves, summer sandals, the list goes on and on and their merchandise is unique. Whenever I go out wearing or carrying something from "The Weathered Gate," I almost always get compliments. .
The owner and staff are always really friendly and helpful. Last week I tried on a top that was a size bigger than I usually wear and thought it was okay but, Diane, the assistant pointed out that it was too big on the shoulders, but they could order it in my size. I really appreciate an honest opinion, which you rarely get in stores.
It is a smallish store, so you might have to walk around a few times to see everything but you'll find something else every time you do.
I highly recommend this store to anyone visiting St. Jacobs.

I'm also grateful that they really stuck to the rules for facemasks and sanitizing. So many places didn't but I could walk around the store knowing that I was safe.

I debated writting this review as I would not want a bad review, however I think this needs to be said....
Myself and a friend were in your store this past Friday during the St Jacob Sparkle. I had never been in the store but my friend has, and loves the products sold. We braved the crowd and waited patiently to browse as St Jacob Sparkle had brought out a huge crowd to the Village. My friend is a huge fan of scarves and had fallen in love with one at your store. Price really wasn't a factor at the moment, as the colour alone was her reasoning. We again waited patiently in line and once at the till, one of the ladies doing the check out said the price was wrong. The price tag was clearly marked and definitely was NOT tampered with! The employee made it seem as if my friend had changed the price. The price tag was flawlessly pressed on the plastic of the scarf and had NO indication of anyone trying to pick at it. The price was only a $5 difference and not only did the employee NOT honor it, but made us both feel extremely uncomfortable. It felt like the whole store was watching and listening as the employee belittled her. She ended up leaving the scarf at the till and we walked out.
We are professionals that deal with customers on a regular basis. Not only should you have honored YOUR mistake, but we would never make a customer feel so horrible. As much as she has liked shopping at your store in the past, she nor I, will ever be back.

Bought a scarf and matching gloves for my wife on her birthday. Unfortunately the gloves ripped after 2 wearings and I took them back. The other gloves my wife wanted were not available but the store owner said she would go to the seller and get them for me. I was called three days later and told that the new gloves were in. I went and got the new gloves and the store owner said that there was a gift inside for my wife. When I got home we discovered they had fixed the ripped gloves no charge. A very nice thing to do and much appreciated.

We have been a few times. They say never give up lol! Because there is beautiful stuff in there. I find that the lady behind the till is sometime cold in personality. It is small especially at the entrance but that okay....if you decide to go enjoy yourself. Be safe wash your hands. 😷 put your mask correctly

Quite surprising how big the store actually is. For any and all men looking for something for there lady, you HAVE to visit this shop in St. Jacob's. I would be shocked if you could find something as the store is loaded with fashionable and stylish clothing for the young and mature lady in your life.
No word of a lie I walked out with 4 bags plus a leather purse well under $300. Don't let that price put you off as I made off like a bandit . I had bought a lot of stuff and was amazed that that was all I paid. And it's quality apparel. I don't buy junk and you won't find any here. I will return after the holidays for future purchases for the lady in my life.

The helpfulness of the store owner, her friendlyness and the helpfulness and friendly service of her staff is all the more reason I WILL return . If your still looking for a gift , honestly look no further.

There is always something new to look at and I love how the store is organized by colour! I come anytime I need a cute/unique gift for someone and the staff is always so friendly. OH and they have the best selection of Swedish Dishcloths 🙂
