This review is both for the purpose of caution and a reminder to remove any items from your vehicle prior to getting it detailed at Westlock Motors.

My partner has not only purchased a vehicle from Westlock Motors, but he's been taking his vehicles there since about 2000 for parts and repairs. He's always been happy with the service provided.

This past winter, he brought his work truck in for detailing (not his personal vehicle).

When he picked the truck up the next day, about $2000 worth of miscellaneous work items were stolen. A cell booster for use in remote areas - valued at over $500, two pair of prescription safety glasses, various tools and work items that were stored under the back seat, electronics, a laser thermometer, and some other items. Even his pens and Sharpies were gone.

When he discovered the theft, he brought it forward to the team at WM, and they claimed to have no knowledge of how these items went missing. They claimed to have spoken to employees and that no-one knew a thing. There was no effort to check cameras, there was no discussion of concern, no apology or effort made to look into the theft. Not even an offer of discounted detailing should he decide to come back.

Unfortunately, he was left with no other option than to open a police file, which he did.

He'd always felt that his vehicle was safe in the hands of the folks at Westlock Motors, until this incident happened. Now, if he has to take his personal vehicle in for any type of service, we make sure everything is taken out, right down to packs of toothpicks and pens.

Never had a problem and everything is taking care of. If there is a problem, I am always in the loop on what is going on and what the plan is.
